Hands down an amazing spot in downtown Raleigh! The historic vibe and friendly staff make every visit a pleasure, and the food is legitimately worth it — my hamburger was delicious and the tacos were superb. It’s one of the few places in the area that still offers a really satisfying meal, not just standard bar grub. Service was attentive and welcoming, and they were open and thriving even in the winter weather, which I truly appreciate. Kudos to the staff for braving the snow. Whether you’re stopping in for great food, drinks, or just a fun atmosphere, this place delivers. Highly recommend!

I was downtown with friends and we decided to do in here. Cool ambiance, not too crowded 6:00 in the evening. Nice warm night, they had the doors open too sidewalk seating.
I had the fish and chips, and asked for extra crispy fries. The fish was decent though not as crispy as I would have liked and the fries definitely were not crispy. But still tasted good. They don’t have cocktail sauce so I had to make do with ketchup. Meh, no real big deal but… Be aware.

We attended the Raleigh time special dinner and beer night. See my pictures for details but bottom line it was a well curated round of beers that matched each of the dishes perfectly. My guest and I all agreed the salad was outstanding and the best part of the meal. I could have skipped the entree and taken a second salad, that’s how great it was it was so unique, tasty and delicious!! Highly recommend a special dinner nights.

Second visit to this spot, and while the Raleigh Times Burger was amazing the first time (fresh, tender, delicious!), it was unfortunately dry this visit. Staff was just okay, not super friendly either time. Fries are fries, but I was really hoping for that consistent, delicious burger experience again. Mine had two toothpicks for pickles while the other had one toothpick for no pickles. They got it right! Margarita small and cheap tasting. Loud music but didnt mind when it was latin vibe! They rotate the music. #Burger #Fries #Disappointment

We stopped for lunch recently based on a local recommendation. It was great. Big menu, good beer selection, really friendly service. I’d gladly get my same order: black bean taco, Barbacoa taco which was incredible, and the apple tart. I look forward to returning.

Awesome atmosphere here. They had indoor and outdoor seating with Floor to ceiling glass windows. Inside was well maintained with neat ceilings. On the wall they had newspapers from back in the day.

The food was great, and the service was even better! If you are in Raleigh, you need to stop here and grab a bite!

Downtown has so many great spots for food, and this one ended up being a surprising gem for us. There was an older man already inside who wouldn’t leave us alone, and it took our server stepping in to finally usher him out—it seemed like something they’ve had to do more than once. Kerry, our server, was kind and patient with our son, which we appreciated. The food was delicious across the board, and we liked the unique spin they put on some of their dishes. We’ll definitely give this place another visit and think it’s worth stopping in if you’re nearby.

Stopped here for dinner while in town for the weekend. We were able to seat ourselves right away on a Saturday night. My husband got the southwest chicken wrap, my daughter had the Raleigh times burger, and I had the holy guacamole turkey burger. We had the fried pickle appetizer also. The food was good. The waiter was also the bartender so he was super busy and could not be very attentive. The atmosphere has an old town pub feel. It was very dark inside even though it was a bright summer day outside.
