When it came to eating at The Railway Depot, I was very skeptical but kept an open mind. During the initial ordering process, everything was pretty normal routine. Drinks were ordered, then came the food. Everything on the menu looked pretty reasonable and sounded great. However, I then noticed the calzone. The calzone at base price was $14.00. Followed by each ingredient (ham, green peppers, etc.) was an additional fee of almost $2.00 for each item placed in the calzone. $2.00 for the marinara sauce and an additional $4.00 for bacon. This intrigued me. So, for review purposes, I ordered EVERYTHING.

My husband and myself have ate here twice and we have really enjoyed it both times. The first time we tried the fried pickles, the loaded ribbon fries, and I had the liver and onions and it was all delicious. The second time I had the seafood platter special and it was fantastic. They did forget my coleslaw but apologized. Both times the waitress’ we had did a good job. We will be returning in the future to try some more of the food. They also offer entertainment on the weekends and have pool tables in the upper dining room.

Being one of the few restaurants open in the area for New Years Day we gave it a go and we were pleasantly surprised about this restaurant. The dining area was clean and decorated with many different train pictures and items throughout the restaurant. A server promptly greeted us and was attentive during our visit. The food was hot and tasted like home cooked comfort food. After dinner we curiously ventured into another room where there was gaming machines, a huge entertainment area, and pool tables. Live entertainment is available every Saturday. Thumbs up we will be back !

I ordered chicken Monterey and my man a mushroom Swiss cheese burger and an appetizer of cheesestix and got 4small and I do mean bite size cheese bites for like $9.99 then his burger which was $10.99 did NOT come with a side dish! So had to pay another $2.49 for fries which would normally come with your sandwich.. then he got his food and was almost done eating and they left us just sitting there well finally my husband went to asked and the man told him the chicken takes longer than a burger and he said any cook would know to drop chicken first anyway by the time I got it my sides were cold and the chicken still undercooked so it to had to have been hard frozen!! Anyway they took the $2.99 drinks off our check to make up!! The server did do his very best to make a bad situation tolerable!! We tipped good

One onion ring on my dates burger, forgot our cheese sticks appetizer. Messed up my drink order. Long wait time and my food came out after my date was finished eating. And it wasn’t that good. That was my 2nd time dissatisfied.
