Shared a Friday night dinner with my boyfriend while visiting Clovis. Our local friends recommended The Rails as a new and delicious place to eat. Atmosphere and service was wonderful. It was fun to watch the freight trains fly past this historic rail station. Food was the only let down during our visit. It was obviously prepped ahead of time like a hotel catering model because we were not given the option to choose our steak temps, and food was delivered under plastic cloches. Flavor on all the food was good, including seasoning. But my boyfriend’s steak was unevenly cooked and grey in some places. My red snapper was over cooked and rubbery. Desserts were also a miss: the crème brule had way too much gelatin and no crispy sugar shell, and the key lime pie was a tart and not made in house. Felt more like a fast casual or catered dining spot as opposed to a fine dining spot as they advertise on their web site. It was over priced for the quality of food ($130 for 2 entrees & 2 desserts), especially in Clovis. Go for the experience, not necessarily the food.

Just what Clovis needed for a wonderful date night with your loved one. The atmosphere was perfect, service was good, and the food what different from anything offered in Clovis. ALL dishes were visibly beautiful! The arancini was incredible! I highly recommend them. The tuna tartare was ok. My husband ordered the crispy duck breast, Mashed Potatoes, and asparagus, I had the truffle fettuccine with blackened shrimp. The skin on the duck wasn’t as crispy as I expected, but a little bit of everything on one bite was delicious. The shrimp on my fettuccine was good, but I think the dish needed more parmesan. The berry creme Brulee didn’t have that crack when tapped, but the honeycomb added a nice bitter taste and some crunchy texture. The key lime pie was what one would expect. We sat on the outside patio and there was a thunderstorm, they closed the shades and it was very romantic. Will definitely be back, since I heard the menus are supposed to change. Hoping I get to try the shrimp and grits next time!

My husband and I went here for a date night and this was a romantic spot with a great food selection! We had the risotto balls, filet mignon, their special which was shrimp tikka misala, and got two desserts – espresso crème brûlée and panna cotta. So delicious! Our waitress was so friendly and the outdoor patio was warm with fire heaters which was a nice touch. Look forward to going back to try more of their cocktails, and the shrimp and grits!

2nd time here and this place is great! We had a large party and some said it was a bit pricy for them, but the food was worth it. The first time I came, I got the filet and this time I got the blackened salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus.

When I first heard about this place back in September of 2022, I knew that I had to come and see how this old train depot/museum was transformed into a unique and very nice restaurant! When I visited this place on November 26, 2022, I absolutely loved this new addition to Clovis! First of all, the staff and waiters/waitresses go above and beyond to make sure that their customers felt welcomed and respected. Second of all, the food was SO GOOD! Even though the prices are expensive compared to other restaurants, the quality of what you get speaks for itself! But the main reason as to why I decided to come here was because I wanted to try their steaks and I was so impressed by how good it came out! Overall, this is a good place to have dinner and is definitely one of the hidden gems of Clovis and of the surrounding areas!

We went for my husband’s birthday and had an amazing time. The parking lot was full so we were a little discouraged but the wait was less than ten minutes (quoted 20). We ordered two of the tuna specials and it was perfect. Picture included. Would definitely recommend!

The newest restaurant in Clovis and it does not disappoint! Finally a place to sit down for a nice dinner that’s not a chain restaurant with mediocre food. First, the staff here is phenomenal. Shout out to Chelsea! They were so nice and accommodating! We ordered the margarita flat bread, Texican Burger, Fall off the bone beef shank, and the truffle mushroom sauce is to die for. Everything was delicious. They do. not. miss. If you have room the chocolate mousse is a great finish. The biggest complaint I’ve seen is that they’re expensive but good food isn’t cheap and the portions are definitely worth the price! We had to take a box home with leftovers. If you’re looking for a place for a date night or a nice evening out this is the place! Bonus points: Full bar!!

The first burger was ice cold. Sent it back, then they brought me the wrong burger with this “lettuce” on it. Waitress was very kind and wanted to make it better. The manager didn’t seem to care when he came to our table. Had high hopes for this place…pry won’t go back.

The Rails was the perrrrrrfect date night spot!! It can be fancier/pricier if you’re looking for that, but they had plenty of less expensive items as well!! It’s the cutest place, great service, and the food and drinks were delicious!!! The bar and indoor eating was so cute! Steaks were great and so were the risotto balls and sides. We will be back!!

I had the fried risotto appetizer and it was wonderful. For my entree I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the grits were smokey, cheesy and very flavorful. Service was a bit slow, but probably just due to being brand new & getting the kinks worked out. Definitely recommend! Definitely will be back!
