Located in Epping, NH, The Railpenny Tavern is the ultimate locals restaurant. The menu is the tavern food you know and love, but with a twist. Stop by for a local beer in the Beer Garden, and tray of oysters on Tuesday, or for some live music in the summer.
The Railpenny Tavern serves weekend brunch in Epping, NH and will be open for Easter brunch on Sunday, April 5.

Very cool spot right off 125/27. The decor is adorable. Very taverny but not raucous.
I took a chance on the pork tenderloin and it was slightly undercooked and not very “cajun” To be fair, tenderloin is a tough one to cook. A few minutes too long and you will have shoe leather. Dijon cream sauce was awesome.
Steak Au Povire was 10/10. Roasted squash chucks are fantastic.
Deserts were super fun. Sadly, our server forgot to tell us the creme brulee was 86’d until after we ordered it.
$1 oysters on Tuesday and a few interesting burgers will bring us back for sure.

BEST DINING EXPERIENCE TO DATE! From the upscale atmosphere offering acoustics paneling in the main dining hall to family friendly waitstaff that provokes attentiveness and warmth and an easy to order menu that strikes quality and quantity at a fine dining status. Easily the next spot I’d bring company to in the area! (Jackie, congratulations on the twins and enjoy your one night a week out of the house, we’ll be back on a Tuesday to see you! Also, to the young girl serving the crowd, your pleasant personality for a small interaction could make anyone feel as though you were serving us straight from your kitchen, it was a pleasure!)

I had a burger that was supposed to be medium temp and it was extremely well done, it was dry and it taste like nothing; also I’m not a big fan of the chopped bacon they put in it. Service was slow so be ready to spend a good amount of time waiting for food.
The mussels were delicious!

The Railpenny is hands-down the best restaurant in the Epping area. It has everything you could want; a cozy atmosphere, stunning cocktails, and a comforting menu. The restaurant is small but tastefully decorated and felt like you were dining at home.
Our first visit was great. Our server Nicole H. was very friendly and accommodating when the menu item we ordered was out of stock. Their shoestring french fries are some of the best I have ever had.
The bill was pricey but well worth the money. The outside addition of the Beer Garden sounds enticing. We cannot wait to return for a few drinks and live music.

We enjoyed the Tuesday $1.00 oysters.
Chicken sandwich was ok. Servers were friendly, but very slow service. Not many people eating outside, but our dinner took about two hours, from being seated to paying the bill. Possibly inside was slammed.
Outside seating is nicely laid out. Many customers had dogs and some were off leash roaming. Road noise is very loud. Many loud motorcycles inhibiting conversation.
Definitely check it out for a nice casual spot with a diverse menu and beers.

Came here once before to meet friends and only had a drink. Came for dinner this time after reviewing the menu and seeing more vegan options. I got the Mini pumpkin, pumpkin soup and the butternut squash fries. Bypassed the mayo based dip and the waiter brought out a jelly pepper and it was very good. The mini stuffed pumpkin was stellar. One of my favorite things I’ve had in a long time. Pumpkin soup was also right up there. Everything was very good. Dalton the server went above and beyond to make for a great Thursday afternoon dinner. The inside of the restaurant was very nice and calming. Will return if the vegan options remain. Very happy.

Server was friendly and prompt. Atmosphere was clean but a bit crowded. Tables close together . Menu was small, only one page but something for everyone.
Food was cooked well. Burger temp was perfect. Not quite sure why mashed has an upcharge of $3. They were blended and taste good though. Squash was a bit different, consistency of baby food but no sweetness at all. Meatloaf had a good presentation, it looked good and it tasted good.
Overall good place.

We sat inside, and it was such a nice atmosphere! Our server was super nice, and everything was delicious. I got the braised short ribs and they were definitely melt in your mouth. The green beans were perfectly cooked, and the potatoes were to die for (and i’m not a potato person!) The flavor was amazing! My friend got the Mom’s mac and cheese and let me have a taste, and oh my goodness… I could have eaten the whole bowl! Highly suggest getting the smaller size, as this was just enough to feed a grown man.

Railpenny burger was excellent. This was our first time there and we will definitely go back. The service was very good. We had a party of six and it was comfortable, they were busy but it wasn’t too loud, easy to carry on a conversation.
