The Rail Yard | Little Rock, AR

First there was the river, then the railways. When roads and airports joined the fray they all came together where Little Rock’s East Village was born.

Have you ever been to a place that once you get there you know it’s going to be . That what this place was. It was a Sunday during brunch and this id a magnificent time to go. I took my wife and daughter than took my sons some food because it was that good. We had wings, waffles burger, fries and catfish. One damn word FIRE !!!!!!

After a day touring around Little Rock, this was a great spot to settle down for some food, nice atmosphere, and plenty of screens showing several games.
Solid food, good drinks, and great service made for a nice afternoon break.

Came here after visiting the Clinton Library before heading to the airport. Cool place with a nice outdoor patio with lots of tables inside and out. It’s tucked away by the railroad tracks in a forgotten industrial zone or something, but it’s super cozy and has a good vibe. Easy parking in the dirt lot across the street.

Tried the double smash burger and the chicken salad sandwich, both of which were very good. The burger patties weren’t thin like a traditional smash burger, so the thing was HUGE, yet it the beef still had a good crust on it. The bacon was thick cut and perfect. The chicken salad was refreshing on a hot day. Fries were the kind that still have a little skin on them so you know they’re real. Nicely dusted with seasoning salt. Sweet tea was not too sweet.

There are specials every day on food and drinks. We considered the Saturday 10 wings for $10 special, but it would have been too much food. They also have great pricing on buckets of beer.

The place was kinda dead at 1130am on a Saturday, but started filling up by the time we were leaving. Nice eclectic soundtrack was playing out in the beer garden. Hopefully more locals discover what they’re missing and come support them!

Hidden gem in the downtown area. If you’re looking to get away from the noise and crowds that come with downtown LR, this area in East Village is where to go. Food was great, indoor and outdoor comfortable seating. It’s gives me the vibes of a bigger UK Pub. Friendly and family atmosphere with food/drinks specials every day of the week. Will be back to catch some live music and become a regular spot for me and the family

Best damn wings and rings in Little Rock, the gentleman who was working the bar and took and brought our order and our bartender was awesome, we will be back next time we’re in Little Rock and I will make sure to ask his name again, since I’m old and memory sucks lol, he was awesome, go check them out, we’ll be back for sure and looking forward to it, YA’LL ROCK

It was my first time there and it will become a regular for me!

One of my favorite places in Little Rock. The food and drinks are fantastic, and when the weather is nice, there’s no better place to sit out. Cheap beer (drafts and buckets),
and I’m a sucker for a Hangar Hill punch. My husband and I have become regulars, and we’ve brought all our friends and family.

Convinced the kids to expose themselves to sunlight by taking them for lunch at a new place. Plus boba drinks but that’s another review.

So this place is off the beaten path but it’s actually on a cool street where I’ve ridden my Harley and actually took pics in front of the really old train bridge with my Harley sitting in front of that old train bridge many years ago.

So the location is really cool. Older place in LR. Feels very retro. The place ends up being a lot bigger than you realize just from viewing it from the parking area which is across the street from the building.

The actual entrance isn’t well marked so I really wasn’t even sure if I was going into the right door. I also wasn’t sure if kids would be allowed when I saw signage out front indicating it was a *bar* serving alcohol on Sunday but I can verify that kids are allowed but after 8 pm it’s 18 and up, according to the sign which I took a picture of and will upload.

Ok so the interior is pretty cool and vibey. I do X-rays for a life long career so I’m very partial to Skellys and they had several dressed up and on display. I love this because I dress up one of my skellys and they are sitting on my front porch right now wearing a floppy garden hat and holding one of my plants on their lap.

You walk in and it almost looks empty and possibly closed but then you keep walking down a kind of ramp and kind of around a bend and there’s a bar and this is where they have menus sitting on the bar and you place your order here then go grab a seat.

Now I wasn’t aware there was a HUGE outdoor seating area until after we had eaten our meal and I kept seeing ppl coming in from this other door and went to go check it out. So just from inside it looks like there isn’t a lot of seating.

There are definitely seating options inside tho for any type of seating preference. They have padded long booth type seats and tables then they have the higher pub style long tables with metal industrial farmhouse type stools then regular tables that seat like 4 ppl.

I noticed 4 maybe more TVs inside so I’m guessing they probably have various sports playing or maybe just whatever ppl ask for.

There’s some kind of stage in a corner near the bar so maybe they do karaoke or have live music certain days.

Now one thing my kids were very excited about was that you can bring your dogs inside this place. And you can order food for them. Burger patties or chicken tenders and something else. Maybe it was fish. Can’t remember. My kids definitely wanna go back and take our Belgian Mal.

So the food was pretty expensive for a self service type bar. I normally wouldn’t spend this much for a low key casual family lunch but as I said I had to bribe my kids out into daylight much less into the city so I was willing to go wild.

My burger and onion rings was juicy, flavorful and well topped. Onion rings fine, could have been cooked a tad bit more but still pretty good.

Catfish was very very fishy but if you like fishy fish then you would like these. The catfish steaks were very thick. Very juicy and moist. I almost worried they weren’t cooked all the way and maybe they weren’t. I don’t eat a lot of fish from other places so I can’t really speak on it with a lot of experience. I know the fish from K. Hall and sons was better and didn’t make me think it was undercooked but the pieces here were a lot thicker. Again could have been due to not being fully cooked which would leave them more full if they aren’t fully cooked.

Other daughter got the chicken and waffles and I was too full to try those but she ate them all so I’m assuming they were pretty good.

The tea was bad. Really bad. Maybe ppl don’t really order tea a lot there so it sits out all day and goes bad but yeah I wouldn’t recommend the tea and had to ask them to change it to lemonade to get the bad taste out of my mouth.

The outdoor area is the big attraction here and we plan on going back on Wednesday for $5 burger day and sitting outside

This was my first…. And last time visiting here and it was just a to-go order. I have no complaints on service as everyone was nice…but my burger was literally raw… basically just seared on the outside. I couldn’t even eat around it because the entire patty was raw. And seeing as I was only stopping by to pick up lunch, there was no going back to get it replaced or replaced later. So I will not be going back.
