A very lovely spot in a delightful small town. The food was diner food to a T and simply delicious. The building seemed to be historical and had a lot of charm to its interior design.

However it was difficult to overlook some of the fascist propaganda in the TV choices (News max).

While it is unlikely to change the channel, it certainly holds back the incredible charm of this fantastic establishment.

This turned out to be a nice visit. The food was excellent and the service on par. We met the owner who was really nice and took some time to chat with us.

The atmosphere was cozy and we’ll visit again.

A nice little place with high quality food and pleasant people. If you’re hiking the rail-to-boring-trail you’d be a fool to walk by without checking this place out

Great place in the small town of Ogema to meet people for breakfast and lunch. Many fresh, homemade specials for each day. Cozy atmosphere and friendly, staff. The food is excellent and not expensive. I loved their homemade, soup of the day!
Very interesting pictures and items decorate the restaurant. Some of them are for sale.
Large parking area with handicap entrance. Room in the back for larger groups.
Definitely worth stopping by, when in the area

Great lil diner I had biscuits and gravy and the meat lovers skillet both good but B&G was most exceptional and pan fried biscuits are the difference. I’m going back to try the blueberry pancakes and French toast and will update this after. Update everything is great, always a good stop

Update, tried everything nothing to say but I’ll have more please

Amazing food. I had steak and eggs for breakfast, and was NOT disappointed. The steak was so tender and cooked exactly how I asked. The hash browns were very crispy, the best I’ve ever enjoyed. The liberally buttered toast hit the spot.
I especially appreciated the constant refils on my partners coffee, and they even brought additional hot water for my hot tea! Friendly promt service.

There were seats next to wall outlets for devices as well.

Super friendly family run business with fantastic food and great service. Breakfast and Friday fish fry are our favorite. However, lunch and dinner specials are served all the food is very good. They have a huge amount of return business for dine in and takeout. Highly recommend a visit and we’ll worth a drive to get there if your don’t live close by.

My family has been long time customers and after the treatment, attitude and utmost disrespect we received last night simply for having a large party will prevent us from ever coming back.

I attempted to contact them late Friday morning to let them know a group of 13 would be in around 5:00PM (this was for my son’s graduation dinner!) but every time they answered and I’d start saying about a large group, the call was miraculously dropped. I have witnesses to this. When we arrived, I let her know we will be a large group and that I attempted to call this morning and apologized for whatever happened with the phone calls to which (I believe was the owners wife) I was told that maybe I should get my phone fixed so I can call next time… Brushed off the slightly rude comment. We went and got seated, ordered drinks and appetizers and then our meals. Part of our group didn’t even receive their drinks but certainly were charged for them.

We received our appetizers and listened to the owners wife turn other people out the door and shut their signs off 45 minutes early “because they had a large party that didn’t call in” and she continued to make remarks about us for well over an hour. Part of our group received their food after about an hour of waiting while the other group had to wait longer. My son didn’t even receive his food before he had to leave for his graduation. When my son had to leave, I went to the front counter and requested togo boxes for our food and to pack the remainder of the orders that haven’t been received into Togo boxes as we needed to get going so we weren’t late for my son’s graduation to which we got told if we would have called in we wouldn’t be waiting so long for our food, my son told her they should get their phone checked. At this point the owners wife wanted to argue with my 18yo son. I raised my voice and stated “there was a mishaps with a phone, whether mine or yours, it doesn’t matter but there is no need for all these rude comments to your customers! Can we please get Togo boxes we need to leave, ma’am!”. We walked back to our tables, I sent my son on his way so he wasn’t late. Owners wife brings us Togo boxes but continues to make comments to where the entire group was now upset and annoyed and most of them now angry. I said this needs to stop just give us our Togo boxes and food and let us get out of here!” The owners wife continued to say things and kept holding onto the Togo boxes. I attempted to grab them to pass them out as we didn’t have time for this nonsense, we just wanted to leave to make it to my son’s graduation! The owners wife pulled the Togo boxes back and started yelling “you’re in camera!!” I said “I don’t care, just give us our Togo boxes, let us leave and post it all over the internet because you’re the one making a fool of yourself.”

We finally got our Togo boxes to pack up our food and received the remainder of orders in Togo boxes so we could leave.

I ran a bar and grill and never in my life would I imagine being disrespectful to paying customers whom I rely on for tips, simply for their group size. The people in my group listened to me brag about their food, service and etc and one group traveled about an hour and the other well over an hour to come there. The experience for them was horrendous and I even apologized to them for bringing them there and this is what it turned into. The waitress didn’t receive a single tip from our group and I NEVER do that! I am heartbroken at the experience and that one of my favorite little places is no longer our family favorite. I hope that whatever that lady had going on, gets better and no one else has to experience this and I’m sorry for the people that got turned away “due to our large group”.

Edit to add: There are many flaws to what you have stated but that’s ok. Thank you for the detailed breakdown of everything you believe occured, unfortunately I believe you should get sound on your cameras as there clearly isn’t any or you’d know exactly what was said and when and by who. Enjoy yourself ☺️
