The mushroom burger we got was fantastic. The tots were hot and crispy. The pickle fries had a good batter and most of them were thick pickle spears. We also got the steak salad. It was okay. Definitely not worth the $21 price. It came with 4 big chunks of steak and no knife was offered. The girl serving was pleasant when we asked for one.
Service was not great. The one person manning the front where you order wasn’t the friendliest. We asked what the dressing options were for our salad and they just turned and pointed at the wall behind them where it listed the sauces and didn’t say a word.
My husband got a Long Island iced tea and I got a margarita. Those were excellent but also pricey at $14 for a single.
The atmosphere is really fun and it’s right up from the water. Would be willing to go back to try more burgers.

Located down on the water front, it’s a short walk from the Port Angeles wharf and Black Ball Ferry. If you’re in the area or waiting to depart on the ferry, this would be a great place to grab a bite. Remember, however, this is not fast food.
The restaurant is a quirky bar & grill establishment. There’s a full bar and tables to enjoy yourself. It’s very comfortable and clean. Interesting “skater” art pieces adorned the walls. There is a south facing balcony and additional tables at the rear of the restaurant.
The staff is very friendly and efficient.
The food is really good. We would suggest the bacon-cheese burger. We didn’t have time to try anything else.
Parking could be a challenge. Some free street parking. Pay parking lots. Other businesses have free parking in the area, however, there may be some risk in using – we don’t know for sure.

My wife and I love to try out something new when we go for road trips and we came across “The Rail”!
The staff was very inviting a d friendly to say the least!
I appreciated the suggestions and even tried a brew that was least liked on the tap menu ( Key-Lime chili lager). I’ve tried dozens and dozens of fresh tasty brews and it wasn’t as bad as they jokingly said it was.
The burgers abd fries were awesome, well not the gluten free bun one but to each is own on that haha!

After a long day of hiking tens of miles in the Cascades, my wife and I stopped by Rail Vurger in Port Angeles, and it was just what we needed! The moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home.
We ordered burgers, fries, and a couple of cold beers to quench our thirst. The burgers were hearty and satisfying, perfectly cooked and packed with flavor—definitely a great reward after our hike. The fries were crispy and delicious, making for a great side.

Food was delicious! Took about 15 minutes to come out around 1pm. I got the bacon cheeseburger. Even with the burger being large and juicy, the bun wasn’t soaked in oil. Would definitely recommend.

This is your classic bar with food kind of place with a 80/90’s skateboard culture aesthetic. Very cool old vintage decks and art- mostly focused on cocktails and beers it seems- food was expensive for bar food. Got a Gluten Free Burger and fries x2 and two fountain drinks and it was delivered to our table- cost was over $50 with tip… kind of steep for a burger basket and non alcoholic drinks. Gluten Free fun needed toasted- it was very dry and fell apart. Which is common among places that offer GF options- The burger was well made and very tasty so were the fries- but the bun was bad. If you are not Gluten free it’s probably way better!

I was there with my 11yr old son his friend. My first time trying this place I’ve had so many friends tell me is the best burger with the most inclusive vibe in town. As we walked in the man behind the bar in the sequined top sighs loudly turns around and says to the woman behind the bar something about ughhh more children. My son is autistic and caught on that the vibes were off almost immediately. He shut down so hard he couldn’t even answer if he wanted tots or fries.
Bartender rolls his eyes at me as I struggle to read the menu. I don’t have the best eyesight and it takes me a moment to pick. I got the aloha burger and asked for my egg runny. Kiddos got the kids cheeseburger. He takes out order and swivels the tip screen around making aggressively direct eye contact with one hand resting and pointing at the highest tip option.. after how he acted I chose not to select that one and tipped much less. He then swings the screen back “tsk” ing and continuing his dramatic rude behavior.
It took over 30 minutes for our food to come out and it was so burnt. The boys picked black burnt cheese off the burgers, meat was dry and blackened. My egg was burnt and solid, the patty and spam was blackened as well. Paid over $60 for two burnt kids cheeseburgers and a charred aloha burger.
After a stressful day we just picked off the carbon and ate what we could. I was an overwhelmed and exhausted mom just looking for a chance to sit and rest after a day trying to keep up with very ✨neuro spicy✨ kids. After all the hype I had heard about how inclusive and great this place was, I was excited and wanted it to be a good experience for us.

Great Ambiance. The deep fried macaroni balls were delicious. We ordered the Matador drink it was pretty good but not worth $13. I really wanted to like this place it’s very cute & it was very busy. The rest of the food was just bland. I don’t think they used any seasoning. I ordered the BLT & my husband ordered The Porter he wasn’t impressed either.

We were immediately greeted by a very friendly bartender. Extremely helpful with both ordering and local knowledge. We ordered the SteaknBleu Salad, which was cooked perfectly; the house BLT and the Curry chicken salad, which was spicy. We took the food to go. As we waited at the food bar, observing the cooking staff preparing food, I had a drink. Don’t know what it was called, but it is pictured here. It was excellent. Next time we are in town, we will be back!
