A perfect rating across the board for this slice of frosty 90’s heaven! We come here all the time and it is consistently fantastic every single time. We love supporting small local businesses and this one is truly a gem. It’s hard to go wrong with these homemade syrups and we have yet to find a flavor we don’t like.We love the beautiful location under some giant shady oaks near the park, it’s perfect for a break in the day. There is ample clean seating and even though it is unpaved it isn’t muddy or hard to get to even with a mobility device. There are restrooms a short walk away if you need them. They do events as well which would be cool to have for a wedding or party!

The Rad Shack is truly something special. Their hot dogs are absolutely delicious—the kind you think about later and crave again. The staff is warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which makes each Rad Shack experience a sweet memory. It’s perfectly located, easy to pop in, and you can easily tell the place is run with real pride and care. We visited for the first time on vacation, but we will definitely be incorporating the Rad Shack into each and every visit back. 100/10, Highly recommend!

I drive by this “shack” on a regular basis, but never had a chance to check it out until they blessed us with their presence at the Chillage! Snowcones have the BEST flavor, especially the cotton candy flavor, which my daughter gets at any snowcone shack, and I think it’s gross but Rad Shack’s is delicious.

We tried The Rad Shack for the first time and my two youngest and we LOVED it. The atmosphere was lovely and nostalgic. I tried the monkfruit-sweetened blue raspberry Hawaiian shave ice. Delicious. My kids had strawberry and strawberry cheesecake, respectively. The flavors were wonderful! And the owner was super-welcoming and kind. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I came here for the first time and we LOVE IT!! the young girl serving us was very articulate and kind and gave great customer service!! Hotdog enthusiast, if you are anywhere close to the Roanoke area, this hotdog joint is a must stop. Perhaps you are traveling interstate 81, and would like to quickly visit the Roanoke Star, The Rad Shack gives you easy access back to the interstate. Order the mustard, chili, and slaw dog, that’s the one shown on the picture. Each bite is magical. 1st. The sweetness of the slaw, then the mixture of the dog and finally the chili and mustard will leave your mouth watering for hours. Trust me, your stomach will thank you for the adventure. You’re back on the road in about an hour, what a lunch break.
