We started with fried pickles, cheese bites, and buffalo cauliflower—solid appetizers. Drinks (beers and cocktails) were good as well.
For dinner, the create-your-own pasta with blackened shrimp and Cajun sauce was delicious (8.5/10), though the shrimp were small but plentiful. The brisket grilled cheese was decent (7/10). The steak power plate was mediocre (5/10), and the Philly Prohibition really missed the mark if you’re used to a real Philly cheesesteak (2/10).
Overall, great service and atmosphere with mixed food options.
It’s a great place just to have dinner or lunch but it’s also an amazing place to host your next event!!
We just had our baby shower here and it was perfect! They have the best private room upstairs with a balcony that has one of the BEST views in TC! We had the entire upstairs to ourselves and the best servers, Grant and Garrett who were amazingly helpful, kind and so accommodating! I love how many options we had available to us and the GM Danny was amazing to work with!! You can tell he is a guy who just loves people and his first priority is not just to make money but to provide a great experience!
My work is having our holiday party here next week and I’m so excited to come back!
Con:
Tables are too close to each other. It’s hard to navigate through when the next party’s chair is literally back to back.
Our waiter wasn’t attentive. He was assigned to too many tables to adequately provide timely service.
We were a party of 9. After having appetizers and drinks, the main course arrived except mine. The chicken fried chicken I ordered without gravy. It arrived smothered in it. While everyone else dined, I ate my Caesar side salad. My husband sweet potato fries were cold. Other guests in our party had the same complaint. After 10 minutes, our waiter says they’re making my food and asked if ai wanted it to-go. He removed the items from our ticket. However I’m unable to reheat chicken fried chicken and savor the taste as it is prepared fresh.
Overall I like the restaurant but think service and focus on food quality can be better.
I got a confirmation for 7.30 PM fairly quickly.
On Saturday we got there, and the place was packed. We got there around 7.10 and when i showed the reservation they asked us how many, in our case only 2 people . The host staff (they had 2) were busy. One young lady (seemed to be always on the customer phone) and a young man, sitting people. There were other groups waiting to be seated, but since they came in groups of 4, 6, or even 10 they had to wait for seating. The host was able to squirrel us away in a small table in the corner.
The staff was very attentive, but they were overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of customers. There were plenty of tables with 6 to 10 guests. The ambiance is pleasant, family friendly. But the poor staff was really struggling to keep up, mainly due to not enough servers for so many customers.
But keep in mind, be nice and patient to your waiters, and don’t make their jobs more stressful, please. And try to tip extra nice (like we did) under these circumstances. Show your appreciation for their effort, and do not demand perfection.
We were amazing to see what may have been the “floor manager” with a cowboy hat, moving tables and making room for the customers waiting, and even opened the patio for some customers. The place was extremely busy.
Our server was a young attentive, courteous young man. We wasn’t sure about appetizers but ordered their nachos. For main course we ordered the Iris Whiskey Chicken. Sweet tea and Lemonade.
The drinks were pretty good and balanced.
The Nachos were amazingly fresh, you could feel the fresh ingredients in the whole plate. It was truly amazing, and i haven’t had such amazing nachos before.
And that is good thing because the main dish of the chicken… was amazingly bland. It came in a bed of linguini, with a white sauce that seem to absorb and mute the flavors of everything in the dish. It was truly disappointing, and looking at other tables and seeing some very appetizing dishes, i think our choice of entre was just the odd one out, the single “not so good”
We talked, my wife and i, and were in agreement, that the ingredients where there, and fresh, but the sauce was too dampening and muting all the flavors.
We had a great time, and will look forward returning and trying other dishes.
The place has soul, the kitchen has potential, and the staff that make it work is amazing.
I leave you some pics of the AMAZING nachos, and the pasta that ate the flavor of our chicken.
Would highly recommend reserving the private room for your next gathering!
