Look, been coming here a long while, and it’s been magical, genuinely would not be where I am at in my life if it wasn’t for the amazing people I’ve met here. The place is done up beautifully, and they have a very good drink. But in the past few months I’ve seen a lot of the good faces of this place go, I’ve noticed that with some new changes that service has become abrasive in a lot of environments, and certain policies and/or agreements haven’t been upkept or directly crossed over. I don’t want this to come off as I’m some guy who doesn’t understand how a business works, so I understand the one drink rule persé, it makes sense, though in the same step I do feel like if things such as the Cokes and such in the fridge are accessible for such clause, which don’t get me wrong I appreciate this leeway, then I feel that if I’m purchasing a cocktail or even two for someone else, that having to make another purchase to fulfill the rule even when 2 drinks is anywhere from 24-30 dollars depending on the time of night. Set your prices how you will, but I also just can’t sense the logic in arguing with me when I’m spending 5-6 times the amount 2 cokes cost. To continue, I feel that this place has also been too forgiving with certain customers, who have had histories of coming in and breaking one of the main rules at the bar being that it’s a non-alch bar. Not to name names but there have been a few folks who have come in and made a real muck of things whilst violating that rule, the bar “banned” them only to fully be allowed back in with a slap on the wrist. Look, I know you look at these reviews and I want you to know that I don’t think the people here are bad people, I just feel like this tightness and the way service has become extremely transactional. There’s a lot left to be desired when it comes to that. On that topic, the other night I’ve witnessed a staff member loudly and audibly set a 20 minute timer to threaten such drink policy on a regular customer who tends to purchase closer towards closing time, there is also another staff member of whom has their partner come in on a regular basis and they are very intimate in the customer space, I understand if this staff member isn’t on shift to take some well deserved R&R but when their partner is wearing not as much clothes and could barely meet a “no shirt, no shoes, no service” policy it does get uncomfortable. All in all this is my long winded way of saying that the culture of this place has changed, from one of friendly caring staff who loved to share and create new drinks, a culture of protecting the customers and no tolerance in the sense of disrespectful activity, to a place where I feel pushed out, I’ve spent over 2,000 dollars here in the span of time I’ve been coming here, and last year spent in in the ballpark of ~100 or more dollars into the Holiday fund for the staff. This place has become a transactional and cold buisiness. I will leave this at that though, as any more words I feel would just be personal attacks more than criticism, so that’s all.

Super cool place. We had Chris as our kavatender and he was great. We asked him lots of questions and he answered all of them with detail and helped us understand the menu. I would definitely come here again and recommend this place to my friends. Great vibe, great drinks, and really good kavatender. Thanks Chris!!

I wanted to like this place as it’s in walking distance for us. My wife and I came in before going out for our anniversary just to grab a drink and see what it was all about. I wanted a kava drink and she wanted a thc drink. The vibe was super weird in there, super dark no music, very soft TV. There was nobody at the bar but there were people on the couches. Definitely regular customers, shoes were off and this couple was all over eachother. It smelled disgusting. As for the service, we had a lot of questions and I kept reminding her that we didnt want any kratom at all. She kept offering us these drinks WITH kratom. I was like dude please we dont want kratom. She made us two drinks that were honestly like drinking syrup. Lukewarm and gross. I asked for ice and it was slightly better. My wife and I are very well versed with kava, kratom and thc. This was a disappointment to say the least. I would consider coming back but
For now no thanks. I can still smell that lady’s feet, absolutely disgusting and nobody said anything.

Mixed feelings. I’ve been wanting to come by this place for sooo long and finally did this weekend. I love that they have drinks alternative to alcohol. I LOVE that it’s Alice in Wonderland themed. My issues were that the drink was sooo syrupy and kind of warm? I was thinking “okay next time I’ll have to get something without the syrup.” But what really irked me was what the employee allowed of the other customers. There were only a few people in there, and I’m sure it’s not always like this. But the customers were budding in as I was trying to have a conversation about drink choices to the bartender, who was clearly annoyed with the situation and I don’t blame her. They were hanging off each other and had their shoes off and I’m sorry it smelled horrible. Now, I know a stinky person isn’t the establishment’s fault, but it is their responsibility to handle the problem. I’ve worked at several bars and would never allow people to remove their shoes and have their dirty feet all over the chairs. I saw other reviews with similar stories, and the replies kind of brush it off. If you are okay with that in your business, then great for you. I didn’t enjoy my time there and couldn’t finish my drink. I was super excited, but I guess it just wasn’t for me.

I have only been here once, from what i saw, it was a very calm environment. There was a halloween event. However, the male kava tender that was working that night, was very rude, rushed the entire experience. from what i saw, it looked like i wasn’t the only one getting treated like this. I was talking to a very dear friend of mine about this situation, and he agreed with me, that this establishment needs to clean up with your coworkers. On another note… I was reading some of these reviews, it seems as tho, with your responses that everyone is rude. Word of advice, if you want people to be satisfied with your place, respond with proper etiquette, and be nice ?

I don’t know what Brick Man is talking about, after reading it like an obituary line for line. I have had nothing but positive experiences here over the past several months and also have spent a lot of money in there. It is not unreasonable to have to adhere to the expectation to order a drink, while lounging in a small business with limited space. There are only so many places for paying customers to sit, and to take up half the store, while also not buying anything, is not very courteous of the small business and family that financially supports keeping the space open for people to enjoy. I have also never had a timer placed on me any of the times I have been in there, because I know that I always need to order at least one (Kava, Kratom or DELTA 9) product. They are in the business of specifically offering and selling those products, they are not in the business of reselling soda or water that literally carries maybe a $0.50-$1.00 profit margin and would never in a million years generate enough revenue to retain people, market the business, pay the rent etc…. Disregard the obnoxious obituary post as it does not actually represent the environment or actual experience that most people are having.

We stopped by on the way back from Tampa and what a nice surprise. Alaina was knowledgeable and very friendly. Very cool alice in wonderland theme, an extensive menu and a cool dark chill spot with couches .We couldn’t stay too long but we will be back. The location is right off 75 and it’s a really nice way to break up the drive. Thanks for the nice experience!
