We had a surprisingly nice dinner here during a recent stay at the hotel. Frankly, I went in expecting a typical sad and dreary airport hotel restaurant. Boy, was I wrong. It started with a very friendly greeting at the reception area. The service was way better than my expectations. The steak frite was good, bordering on excellent. My wife’s pasta was decent. Overall a good experience and we will definitely eat here again next time we are ‘stuck’ in JFK.

We had an amazing experience at the Quimby. After arriving for dinner on Valentines Day, we were told that there were only seating reservations but we were welcome to sit in the lounge and dine.
I’m glad we did because the food and service was spectacular. We had wings, the Caesar and gem salads, hanger steak topped with crab, the seafood fra diavlo and red velvet cake. Nick was the star of the evening and was courteous, knowledgeable and so pleasant. We are locals and will definitely be back!

A well lit and very decent restaurant inside Marriott JFK Airport hotel. I ordered their Angus Prime Rib Saturday Special and it’s so worth it. Tasty, tender and juicy. Staff are all attentive and Nick the manager was very helpful. Dining here really elevated my layover stay in Marriott.

My husband and I were staying in the Marriott Courtyard- just a few steps away from this Marriott. We were only there for one night.
We walked here for lunch. It’s very nicely decorated and has a very nice aesthetic.
The prices are a little pricey. I got a Caesar salad which was only $14, but then I added grilled shrimp, which was another $12. My husband got the salmon. The waiter asked how he wanted it. We assumed he meant “blackened, grilled, broiled, fried”, etc. but he only meant rare, medium rare, well done, etc.
Our food came out after about 15 minutes. The portions are pretty big. However, for me, my salad was not very tasty just because most of the romaine lettuce was just the white and yellow parts- not much of the healthy greens, AND there was very little dressing on it. What little dressing I did taste, I could tell it was a homemade dressing. The shrimp was very good, but it only came with 4 shrimp.
My husband loved the salmon. It was served on a bed of wilted, sautéed spinach and fennel with a side of pumpkin. It was very delicious. He also got a bottle of sparkling water with his meal.
Altogether our bill was $73 before tip. A little pricey. But we had a nice, tasty, healthy lunch in a nicely decorated restaurant, with pretty good service.
They also have a nice patio area for eating, but it was very windy that day, so we opted for inside.
If we ever stay in that hotel again, I would definitely go to Quimby’s again.

We hosted our daughter’s rehearsal dinner at the Quimby. Jasmine was the best. She worked with me every step of the way and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She took care of every aspect of this event. We were so happy with the rehearsal dinner. The room, the food, the drinks, the service were all perfect. Everyone raved about the food – it was all delicious. The staff was also very attentive and welcoming. The area that we had was perfect. Our guests were able to stand around and get to know one another before we all sat down for our meal. It was all perfect. We received numerous compliments from our guests – some we had not met until that evening. The atmosphere was so comfortable, and every single aspect of that evening was perfect! I highly recommend the Quimby for any small event that you are planning. From beginning to end the experience was amazing! Thank you to Jasmine and the staff at the Quimby for giving our family and guests such a special evening!

Our wait staff was delightful. We had the burger, which was quite charred (not sure if it was intentional – I didn’t mind it and enjoyed the flavors, but my fiance did not appreciate the char). The roasted brussel sprouts had more of a steamed texture. The shoestring fries and the table bread were amazing.

Oh.. my.. god! I had the Scottish salmon and it was so delicious and so perfectly cooked I nearly cried. It was a revelation.. I’ve never had such perfectly cooked fish before in my entire life and never thought I would encounter it. I am in awe. Thank you to Zhamani and (I forgot my server’s name), because this was incredible. I’m being completely serious here it was so good. The crust on the salmon was like a gift from God. I almost cried!

Nice clean place with natural lighting. Staffs are great. Ordered “q burger” and did not have any regrets: burger which is simple with homey vibes. This is how a burger should be made. Let’s start with the bun. It was toasted to perfection with creamy and buttery taste which complimented the salt-seasoned patty of ground ribs with balanced ratio of lean to fat patty, cooked medium rare with enough charring to notice the subtle bitterness in the sea of flavors that comes from the rich dressing, umami from tomato and sour taste from the pickles. At first bite I noticed some cheese-pull action however im not sure what cheese they used. Burger is also partnered with salad or fries. I chose the fries, their serving is generous. This is the “simple” that I want, this is when simple is better

Hostess very courteous, Jose was a very great server, very attentive, well mannered and knowledgeable, the restaurant is very luxurious without feeling stuffy. Everything we ordered was excellent, including the wine. Keep up the good work! I would travel to dine here even if I was not staying at the hotel! For a hotel restaurant it exceeded all expectations. Best pork chop!

You wouldn’t normally expect fine dining at accommodations near an airport. But this is what the Marriot Residence has delivered exceptionally well at The Quimby, a sophisticated, unpretentious establishment that is best experienced being served by its attentive, friendly staff. Don’t be fooled by the simple menu though. From what I heard, the menu is carefully curated by a chef formerly trained under celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey. Our dinner did not disappoint. I ordered a delicious steak dinner (med rare) cooked to perfection with arugula and green chimichurri and fries. Our waiter Alex is friendly and helpful who would gladly share his knowledge about the area.
