Service was really poor, we had to ask twice for glasses to pour the tropical punch, and we had to ask for napkins/serviettes, but maybe the staff was under stress and pressure as it was 30 minutes until the buffet food was removed. The food selection was spectacular, the food was really good, there was a lot of wonderful meats and really delicious fried fish. I am willing to give the staff and restaurant another chance, as my girlfriend really craves buffet.

Was there for a staff party with a full house booking.. The food was mostly good with a couple of dishes not quiet to our tasting from different members. With the evening being fully booked a few of us got to the main buffet with serving dishes being emptied out & not restocked efficiently.. We discovered certain items on plates that we ourselves did not see on the service table. Also the deserts was very average I’m sorry to say. They served baked deserts that we can make at home…. & most of the cold deserts were really tasteless not tasting how they looked? There where no finishing touches on the deserts as I see in previous photo posts. We just got little squares of colorful gelatine like blocks? Although I must say the ice cream was superb. So creamy & full of flavors. At almost R300 a plate, when I as a female & not huge eater expected a little better when it came to the finishing touches & overall service of the kitchen staff? Our waitress Beauhla was a delight & made for pleasureable service at the Table!

A truly disappointing experience. We were a table of 5, and unfortunately, 3 of us have been unwell since visiting this restaurant yesterday. At R340, it was the worst value for money I’ve ever encountered.
• No music was playing in the restaurant, which created a lack of atmosphere.
• They do not serve any hot beverages, even though they are listed on the menu (e.g., coffee).
• The food quality was poor: the lasagna tasted oddly sweet, like a dessert.
• The prawns were not cleaned properly, which likely caused the illness.
• The food assortment was lacking, and the sausage and roast beef were an unusual purple color.
On a positive note, the staff were fantastic.

I read a few reviews saying no ambience. BS. DJ was hitting the deck hard. Music was flowing, food was more than acceptable for the price and overall it was a wonderful evening.

We had our sons 21st birthday at quarter deck on Friday 17 October. And I just want to say that you guys did not disappoint. The food was excellent. Desserts just as good and a great variety of foods and desserts. The 2 ladies that served us, thank you for excellent service. And all other staff thank you. The atmosphere with the DJ on a Friday was awesome. Thank you for letting us put up a few decorations before the time. Overall thank you Quarterdeck. We’ll done.

I give them full stars. However their communication skills are very weak and poor, for 2 weeks I have been trying to get hold of them. I believe a lady is operating the operating the phone. Everytime I phone, she’s not there, she’ll be back in how many minutes, call again nope she’s not there. Call again nope I must phone later. Whole bloody time and it is so irritated. a person can’t even make a phone call.
My advise DO NOT CALL THEM !!!

The seating area is very classy and the staff is dressed neatly and clearly well trained.
However, the food is disappointing. The desserts even worse. The malva pudding and cheesecake were not fresh at all.
I will come back again but hope I dont get disappointed because I invited a bigger group.

We were left rather disappointed with the food. The seafood selection or lack thereof was unappetizing. The lamb chops were tough and the overly sweet marinade made them inedible. The salad bar was very limited.
I did however enjoy the roast beef with potatoes.
Dessert was ok. Nothing to write home about .
Our waitress was lovely and really attentive.
I didn’t feel we got our monies worth and the standards have dropped drastically to what they used to be.

The food was divine! Although everything that made the menu was expected. The waitresses made sure we are comfortable and it wasn’t as packed as I expected. The R275 per head is quite steep considering that it doesn’t include drinks. Their drinks are very expensive for a buffet restaurant. We spent over R800 and this was because of the cheapest drinks(juice and soft drinks) on their menu.

Quarterdeck is very popular and always fully booked. Quite s bit of spicy foods – something to take note of. I find the food to be ‘plastic’ in nature. Mass produced. Tastes really nice but not something i would really want to do regularly. Almost like MacDonald just way more expensive. The desert consists of pretty much the same thing just a diffrent colour. The ice cream (one particualr flavour was amazing). Apart from that there is not much more i can rave about. The services was really really bad. You need to go look for a waiter….they dont come to you…ever. They are however very friendly when you do find one. The exeprice was interesting…but i doubt ill ever go back. That was not value for money. I gave 2 stars for atmosphere because of the casino. There is no other atmosphere.
