I’ll tell u whut ill tell u whut!!!!!!! Was recommended we dont go to this bar for the following reasons. We’ll need a tb shot. Won’t get into heaven. And will catch a skin disease. So we didnt !!!! Closest we got was the parking lot and even that was hot garbage. Fealt like I needed a cold shower and therapy after just driving by. The pics alone from website have my future children trauma. If I come back through the keys next year and God allowed this shanty to remain standing we may need to call in the national guard.

Let’s just say this isn’t the family pub… this is the locals best kept secret, for price, and hole in the wall, or roof type pub. No frills, but a quick stop for a cold beer or a shot, truly felt like a Bahamas bar on some random island.
If you’re not fancy and want to experience something different, walk in and check the place out! Beers were cold and the bartender was nice!

As soon as I pulled up in my small block chevy, I knew this was a gem. I walked through the front door, and was greeted with the fantastic aroma of “beer breath.” Mmmmmmm, as I continued to the bar for a libation, I noticed a great deviation in air temperature from outside the bar while walking into the bar. It was melancholic, but once I was greeted by the A/C, it became IMO one of the most diverse, and encompassing personification’s of hospitality. 5 STARS!!!!

This is the last crunge bar in the lower keys. Owner Joe is a piece of Key West history. The vibe is different. And cool. At least in my perspective.

Not a bad spot. Watch out for the locals though because it is common for them to try setting you up with the cops and a guy sitting at the bar threatened to do that to me so I had to move my seat, chug my beer and leave.
Other than that, I liked the joint and there is boat parking right there.

We heard about this place on our latest trip to the keys and finally stopped by today. Definitely worth it if you like dive bars! Kelly was our excellent tender and she was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the pub. We’re so glad we visited!

Great place, nice people, cold beer. definitely a hole in the wall but sat for a couple hours talking with the bartender who was real nice and shared many stories of the bar and what the keys had to offer. Ask about the ghost stories…
