We feature a daily selection of at least 8 different homemade soups, plus we feature a new daily special each day. Parking downtown can be tight, but we offer off-street parking in the lot directly across the street from us. We hope to see you soon!

Great spot for lunch! They had 8 or 9 choices of fresh homemade soups!
I ordered the purple onion wrap with tots. The chicken salad in it was so tasty and the perfect consistency. My husband got the Italian melt with coleslaw and he cleaned his plate. He said it tasted great and the bread was super fresh and delicious. The star of the show for me was the cup of autumn squash soup!! It was so refreshing, warm, sweet and savory. WAY better than Panera’s squash soup. It brightened me up immediately.
The service was fast and friendly too.

We had lunch at The Purple Onion today. I had the Cuban sandwich and my daughter has the chicken salad. She said it was the best chicken salad she’s had. The service was great and the food was excellent. Most importantly, they could accommodate our food allergies. They made our gluten free sandwiches separate from the others and they have a dedicated GF fryer for the fries and tots. We will definitely be back.

After visiting the farmer’s market in Lakeland we stopped at the Purple Onion.
The french onion soup was good with lots of delicious melted cheese ! I had the purple onion chicken club wrap and it was delicious!
My companion got a side salad that was average but still good with the french onion soup!
They were busy and short staffed but with all the employees working together it was a great experience! All the food came out timely and delicious!
Will definitely go back!

I heard amazing things about this place. I got the Italian sandwich and philly. Along with jalapeno poppers and fried green beans. Personally I feel the sandwiches needed more. They were so thin. Barely any ingredients for the price. For 7 bucks I got 4 poppers. The green beans had a fair amount. It was good but for the price I should have had more meat and veggies in the sandwiches. It was more bread than anything. I even asked for extra mayo that wasn’t there at all. Im on the hunt for a good Italian sandwich. My friend lead me here. I’m hoping this was just an off day. I may try again in the future. We will see.

The deep fried green beans were outstanding, worth the drive from New Smyrna Beach.. the half Ruben and onion soup were okay.. the Ruben was chewy and the were three slices of soggy baguette in my onion soup.. a bit of overkill, but the fried green beans with Green Goddess dip are to die for!

Great place to grab a bite. My daughter had the Chicken tenders and loved them. She is truly a connoisseur of chicken tenders and won’t eat the just anywhere. Their French Dip is literally the beat I’ve had in Lakeland. Cute diner. Staff is friendly and fast. A little farther from the main downtown area but as downtown expands it gets a little closet. Well worth the walk and even if busy, well worth the wait.
