Friendly staff, delicious food. Came for the first time on 12/5/25 for lunch. Got the turkey chili to warm up as it’s a freezing day, I can’t believe I haven’t been here before. Will be back again

Food is not something I would drive out of the way for, but it’s not the worst thing either. The one thing I truly disliked was the “smoothie” and there quotations around the word because it is not really a smoothie. It’s a blend of ice and sugar purée which if that’s your type of smoothie then you’ll like it, but I typically like fresh fruit smoothies so that was the only major disappointment in the food category.
Service is amazing. Workers are super friendly!
Atmosphere isn’t the best, but it is super cute just a little under decorated.

The baked bread smells amazing from outside of the restaurant and is what “drew” us inside. It’s a small family style delicatessen- soups, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, smoothies, desserts, etc. It was a large conference in town so it was a little overwhelming for them to process but they did well. The food was decent and the prices (especially for desserts) were amazing. Worth a try.

Everything is spectacular at Purple Carrot. The desserts are to die for, especially the cookies, I love the breakfast cookies.
The Buffalo flatbread pizza is one of the best I’ve ever had. It has chicken and sausage on it, plenty of cheese, the sauce is great with a decent kick and the dough/crust is a 10.
They make some of the best bread in the state and I’ll argue that all day long. I pick some up for every family event and everyone raves about it.

The olive& rosemary bread is so good.
Tuna melt stuffed with Tuna. Tastes great.
Short rib panini is super tasty, melt in your mouth meat.
Both sandwiches come with a noodle salad, garlicy heaven. I don’t know if they have it on their menu but I’d buy a tub of whatever sauce they put on the noodles.
Croissant with jam filling. The croissant its self had a delicate sweetness and fruity flavor. The jam inside was delish, not overly sweet, tasted housemade.
They clearly put a lot of work into their food and it pays off.

Too often will I order avocado toast from a place and the avocado itself will be under seasoned, or not at all. The avocado was perfectly seasoned, the poached eggs also perfect.
The Cafe itself needs a remodel ..but if we’re talking food alone it’s a 5 star joint.

Great vibe and the couch is the best spot in the house! got the brie/apple/fig jam panini…was great, just a bit too much on the sweet side. side of macaroni salad was decent, just bland. my friend got the cobb salad which was good. also tried the vegan fudge balls which were so good!! overall, reasonably priced and will be going back!

was waiting for a pizza on my lunch break and heard a guy coughing very grossly from the kitchen area. not just a simple cough, but hacking very loudly and it was enough to make me never come back. counter lady was great and food was delicious but now I’m worried I might catch something from whoever was coughing all over the place. if u don’t care abt things like that then you’ll like the place cuz the food is good it’s just that 1 thing enough for me to give a bad rating. didnt learn anything from covid, SMH.

Open and bright space that smells wonderful. And I’m not even a bread lover. Great sandwiches and watermelon gazpacho is worth begging the chef to stop what he was doing and puree me an early bowl. He didn’t look to pleased but made my lunch. Can’t wait to try the breakfast.
