I stopped in for a to go order and there were a number of attractive items on the menu so narrowed it down to a plain bacon cheeseburger, loaded “ram horns” which were curved steak fries, garlic cheese bread and the mozzarella triangles. The good – the ram horns were actually the best part, the mozzarella triangles were pretty decent (although there’s only so much variation you can have with fried cheese) and the Guinness I had while waiting hit the spot. The bad – once home I discovered that the burger was not plain (was under the patty so I didn’t notice when I checked before leaving) and the pickle taste having absorbed in to the burger which I wasn’t thrilled about. The burger itself was average. It was cooked medium rare as ordered but flavor was average. The size of the bun didn’t help as it gave more bread per bite, further offsetting the taste of the burger. The garlic cheese bread was also average. Thick bread vs cheese was an unfortunate ratio. I wound up cutting the pieces in half horizontally to improve it. The ugly- for the food alone, just north of $50. So I might return if in the mood for apps, and I always like to give wings a try so that may be next.

When you think of a place to go to have a great evening with friends and family that never fails on drinks and food, the first thing that comes to mind is The Public House in Cheviot. It will always be the only place and location that always comes to mind. The atmosphere is where you want to bring you loved ones. Sit back and order some of your favs from Hearth Brewing. The food is amazing. The pizza is delicious. Handmade dough and pizza sauce. The pizza and pizza hoagie are a must try.You will have the best customer experience provided by Kayla and Adrienne, making food and beverage recommendations, bringing your food in a timely manner always with a smile and genuine attitude. These girls don’t play so tip them well! This is the place you want to be on weekdays and weekends. Thank you Public house for an amazing time.

I have grown up going here since my mother Natalie used to work there! Everyone is extremely nice as soon as I come in! The bartenders, the cooks, and all the other people who recognize me! Their food (especially their chicken wings and pizza) are phenomenal! It’s a great place and I highly recommend eating there! Everyone there is very nice and phenomenal with timing when they bring food! The people who give bad reviews don’t know patience!!! Glad to be someone who grew up going there! Love to visit again sometime! Also hello Scott if you see this, its Cali :)! Love the bar, love the food, I rate it 10/10!

If I could leave zero stars I absolutely would. We waited 2 hours for our food. We arrived at 415 on a Saturday and tried to sit at a large table, as there were 13 of us. The bartender at the time was yelling at my 71 year old mother that she couldn’t sit there because there is currently a water leak and it drips on the table. This particular bartender was just so rude, it blew my mind. We ended up at 2 tables in the corner. We ordered 3 draft beers and a water. 2 beers came, but the third one, my husband’s did not. Our waitress (who was amazing at her job and none of this is her fault) came back and said there was no more CO2, and so no more draft beers. This was a Saturday, during the playoffs mind you. We ordered some appetizers, which took a out 40 minutes to come. They tasted okay, but all of them were cold. We then put in a food order, which is where everything got significantly worse. Our food did not come for almost 2 more hours. The people that got burgers all ordered them medium, but they came out super over cooked. The kids got chicken tenders which were thin as paper and not warm. I personally ordered the garlic parmesan fries, they were not even cooked all of the way. They were so over oiled and did not taste garlicky at all. No one could actually eat them. After dinner, my husband got so sick he threw up twice in the bathroom and once outside. When we finally were able to leave, I forgot something and had to run back in. There was a lady standing outside of the public house warning me to not waste my time. She said she was there for 45 minutes and still had not gotten her water or really any service at all. Our waitress was amazing and she was so apologetic. I do not recommend going here. I will never go back. So disappointing for a bad that was on Bar Rescue. I really expected more.

We had a party of 17 show up and Public House staff was awesome. Kayla was our server and did an excellent job. Food was amazing. The kitchen manager, Nancy, came out and was fantastic. The place was decorated so cute for fall. We will definitely go back!

it was pretty busy so not blaming the staff but maybe the manager for having them spread so thin. There was no sign at the door that said “seat yourself” so my husband and I stood there for 10 minutes standing around, one waiter walked by us to go on break and came back but said nothing, one waitress made eye contact with me and turned around (i thought she was grabbing menus) but just 180’d and also didn’t acknowledge us. it wasn’t until i stopped another server coming back from break who was also ready to walk right by us that i asked “do we seat ourselves” she said yes but there were no tables so i just left. i drove an hour and 15 minutes because i love bar rescue but i guess it’s on me for not calling ahead and seeing about a wait? not sure though if you just seat yourself. kinda disappointing
