My date looked at the menu and said we could just pay for drinks and go somewhere else for dinner. I declined and said its pretty hard to mess up a burger. I wish I had taken his suggestion.

This is a great hidden gem! They’ve been open a couple of years, but I just recently heard about them and decided to try it out. The atmosphere is very cool with a country western mining theme. We were greeted by a kind elderly woman (owner maybe?) who gave us some good recommendations and seated us. We went for the prime rib, but they had just sold out. We got the combo appetizer with a little of everything. The appetizers were so good! I had the rib eye, and my main complaint was that it was more rare than I like with my medium rare steaks. It didn’t have very much flavor, either. I thought it was odd that it came with pickled mushrooms. I was not a fan of those. My wife had a burger that was delicious. The kids had chicken strips that were surprisingly tasty, as well. The service was excellent and our drinks were always full. HUGE portions and everyone had leftovers. Very affordable for the amount of food you get. Aside from the underwhelming steak, a great experience and we will be back!

Yup! We had wings were fabulous, huge meaty , fall off the bone with a crispy exterior. The bbq sauce was sticky with a kick. The house salad was fresh and crisp, with the right mix of cheese, red bell peppers, dried cranberries, onion and a cherry tomato. Mozzarella sticks and potatoe skins were good. My husband had the prime rib and he cleaned his plate. Will do again.

Seriously such a cute place! Love the decor. It would be a fun place for the family. Food was also a good price for what you get, definitely recommend the Malibu chicken and the onion rings.

Do not order the brisket sandwich. Even if it is served with undeniable hard fat as the majority of what they are passing as meat and you can’t eat it you are paying for it. The poor server said she either eats the cost or we pay because the kitchen will not take responsibility. This was our hidden go to spot. We will not be back if that how the treat the staff and customers this way. Rest of the food was fine. Seriously most disappointed with how the situation was handled.

Delicious food and amazing service! The tables can be full, but it is set up so that it doesn’t get too noisy and you can actually talk to each other. Love this place for a date night, a night out with friends, or family dinner. They do meat and sides really well, and the pricing is more than fair. We’ve even ordered take out before, and that was delicious as well. Check the hours, they aren’t open for lunch.

I have been here a couple time and I do say, this is a great place to eat! I would recommend it to anyone looking for some good ol’ American home style food! I’ve had the wings and the Cajun blue cheese burger. The burger was delicious! Not dry and cooked just right. The wings are also excellent! Not a ton of flavors and a little pricey for the quantities, but still worth it!
Yesterday they had some shrimp wrapped bacon as a special side. They put some brown surgar on them and those were amazing! Both times I have gone, the staff has always been friendly and helpful. It’s not loud and has a very nice chill atmosphere. It’s nicely decorated to match the food served. I actually really like how they designed the restaurant. The food arrived in a timely manner and was nice and hot! I like places like this and I will definitely go back again and again!

I got the Pick Axe cheese burger with onion rings and gee golly it was delicious!!! First time going here at Prospector restaurant. The atmosphere there is gorgeous and fun to look around and they have a horse saddle to sit on for the kids or adults. My wife got the Coconut Shrimp with loaded potatoes and those little buggers disappeared!!! We are for sure going back!!

This is a great local place. They are known for their prime rib and that’s what I had. It was excellent and cooked perfectly! I also had the loaded baked potato and bacon wrapped shrimp. Everything was A+.
The atmosphere is relaxing and a little historical as well. Historical decor from the prospecting times of our Country make up the atmosphere
