This restaurant is beautiful on the inside! Our waitress was sweet and service was speedy (it was a Monday though lol). The food was good but pricey. My husband said for the price we should have gotten some real garlic bread and not Texas toast . Overall, I would come back and try more dishes!

Always a great meal & service at The Rib! My favorite is the Oscar with hashbrowns – the steak is perfectly cooked medium rare, and the hashbrowns are golden crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They have a wonderful salad bar, too, that has a lot of cold salad options in addition to the greens. Their macaroni salad and potato salad remind me of church potlucks where all the church ladies make their best recipes (nostalgic in a good way). The venue decor is like stepping back in time to a perfectly persevered high-end restaurant from the 80s, and I wouldn’t change a thing! A trip to Spencer, Iowa wouldn’t be complete without a dinner at The Prime Rib.

At first glance this restaurant looks beautiful. Although the seating could use major TLC and the bathroom could use some elbow grease and a major deep clean. It’s a special treat for most families to treat themselves and want to feel as if they have had a great experience, especially with the prices. The food is pretty good and a nice treat. Our server was amazing on the bar side, with that said the steaks were a joke, ordered the Ribeye steak Medium and got it well done and one of other group members ordered the sirloin medium and received well done also, whom ever the cook was did a disservice to this establishment!

We ate on the bar side. The place seem to be pretty loud and crowded. Maybe that’s what they’ve got to do to serve everybody. The food was pretty good, I would order the sandwich again. The only minor complaint I have is the bread was about twice as big as it needed to be for the burger

Went on NYE and it was packed. Still found a table waitstaff was wonderful. We got our drinks and food way faster than we expected. Never felt rushed or had to wait for service. Always a great experience

Was very excited to come here. Was… 6pm Saturday night place was full of people. Was seated for 2 immediately. The server was very friendly and talkative. The drinks were average. The place is dated but is comfortable. The prime rib was ordered medium rare and served medium well. They forgot the Au-jus sauce on the side cup and poured it over top. My order was the broiled walleye with jalopeno corn. Fish was served tepid along with both of our sides. I would rank the fish experience as one of the worst. It had many bones and a fish scale, which was a first. I had mentioned it to the server, who said it was a new supplier, and it was shrugged off. In the end, I will not make an effort to go back.

Delicious food, had the Combo Platter. It was very tasty and cooked to perfection. Staff was friendly, but not bothersome at checking in on how you were doing. Thank you for a great time at the Prime Rib.

I have ate her numerous times it has been awesome. This time steak was the worse steak I have ever had and the waitress acted like oh well said I ask you if it was cooked correct I said It was but I need a chainsaw to cut it. She said she will tell the cook and I also the bread was cold and hard she said ok. Horrible service. Brought me my check. Last time I will ever eat here. Nice response from owner. Talking to the waitress and telling them it was not good is apparently was not what I was suppose to do.Normally when you tell the waitress the food is horrible she tells the management.
