The Prewitt is a GEM!! Being able to have a top notch delicious dinner in the home of almost a century of cinematic delights was a true treasure. Theaters are places of true joy, where families and friends laugh and cry together and that joy continues now as a restaurant. From the mocktails to the appetizers to the entrees and finally to the dessert…EVERYTHING was fantastic! PLUS OG flicks like Burt Lancanster & Tony Curtis’ Trapeze play on the big screen whil you eat. And Stafan was a GREAT server. We will be back!!

My wife and I recently celebrated our 5-year anniversary at The Prewitt Restaurant in Plainfield, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.
The moment we arrived, the staff made us feel special. When they learned it was our anniversary, they surprised us with complimentary champagne, which set a celebratory tone for the evening. It was a thoughtful touch that we truly appreciated.
The food was excellent. Each dish we had was well-prepared and flavorful. The cocktails were equally impressive.
Beyond the food and drinks, the restaurant’s atmosphere struck the right balance. The environment felt upscale without being stuffy, making it ideal for a celebration.
The Prewitt Restaurant clearly takes pride in their craft, from the kitchen to the bar to the service. We’ll definitely be back to experience it again.

The overboard was so tasty the food was so good the Brussels sprouts dish and those breads were mighty delicious. I got the grilled cheese sooo good! Joe was such an amazing server authentic & so pleasant. We came in a snow storm & it was well worth the trip! IMPRESSED! 10/10 the igloos were such. Fun experience just wear extra socks but LOVELY EXPERIENCE

Neat neat neat! The staff (shout-out to our server Joe!) is phenomenal. We have not had an experience like this before, tonight. The food is gourmet & we got entertained by solving a murder mystery. Credit to my husband for picking Prewitt to celebrate our anniversary!

Well went noon on a sunday for my twin daughters 38th birthday had reservations told them about when made the reservations stated they had special desert they would get and would note in the reservations. well the servers had no ideal. Then we wanted bloody mary’s but they had no mix. there were only 2 servers and really all we saw beside the cooks. ordered for starters the Meat and cheese board should have been stuff olives but there were none. Didn’t realize till after we left and relooked at menu, rest of orders were good. but slow getting the 2 servers were great but still not what should have been for what we expected and what we paid for.

This is a very antique pretty restaurant. used to be a Theater now a restaurant has a Giant screen at the far wall when you walk in.
I had the pork chops was delicious , service was very good. Had a very nice wine list and the server was very knowledgeable of the menu. the deserts were delicious adding pictures liked the Peanut chocolate shooter

First time visiting, comedy night, Seats are not comfortable unless you’re having dinner only. We originally got sat in comfy chairs in the front but then got moved to eat glad we did because we left early.
The brisket nachos were delicious but needed jalapeño and smaller onion pieces and more toppings.
The coppa cobano flatbread had a big piece of mozzarella in the middle, wasn’t needed and should not be cut and put on top of each other as the slices get mushy, but it was good. Skip the cheese.
The royale with cheese added egg was yummy too.
The one twenty one old fashion was different definitely taste the root beer but probably would not get again.
The beers are a great price .
Over all skip the comedy and go for the amazing food and service.

The Prewitt was such a wonderful place to visit and dine with! They helped coordinate, assist, and accommodate with my dream proposal in one of their igloos at the top of the restaurant! The staff, including the manager/supervisor, went above and beyond to accommodate my ideas and plans. All of the staff were super kind and friendly. The food was absolutely terrific as well. I have nothing but positive things to say. Thank you to everyone who made my proposal possible! Highly recommend this experience if you are in the area.

First time here! I ordered the wings and my husband ordered the patty melt. Had to try the truffle fries and hush puppies. So good! So, so good❤️ the wings are the best I have ever had and I have tried them all amazing here. We will be back!

My hubby and I chose The Prewitt for a much needed date night. I really wanted to try the scallop piccata they are advertising for January. We loved the short rib egg roll and our drinks were really good. Once we got our food though… my risotto was cold and I had to spit out the scallop because it was barely cooked. The kitchen made me a new plate but, even that one had lukewarm risotto and not fully cooked scallops. I told our waitress (who was amazing by the way!) that I would just bring it home and heat it up. We noticed a women near us ordered the same thing and she had to send it back also. They took my meal off of the check which was very kind and appreciated but, we still spent $100 after tip….and I had to come home and cook my food to temp. The atmosphere is lovely, our waitress and the waiter near us were so nice and helpful, but… to have undercooked scallops and cold risotto (Twice!) was super disappointing.
