We ordered Parmesan Arancini and the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer and both were delicious! For dinner, I ordered the crab bisque and the Roquefort salad; the bisque was mostly ok. Creamy and flavorful initially but there was an aftertaste that wasn’t pleasant. The salad was nothing extraordinary. Some bitterness needed something to offset but the dressing just didn’t do that.
My husband ordered the 16oz Delmonico steak. The steak was flavorful but so full of gristle that it was difficult to eat and left 3/4 of the piece of meat on his plate. This was a huge disappointment.
Our table ordered three desserts; the peanut butter chocolate pie, crème brûlée and espresso chocolate cake. The pnb dessert was off the chain good. The crème brûlée was perfectly creamy and yummy. The chocolate cake was dry and almost bland.
Overall, the experience was great. Excellent company and some yummy bites but overall, I’ve had better MUCH steaks and experiences for a fraction of the cost.
Steaks – 5/5 – Filet was amazing. She said it was the best she’s ever had. Boneless ribeye was fantastic. Both cooked rare and correctly.
Wine/ Mocktail – 5/5 – Got the by the glass WA Merlot which was fantastic and her mocktail was a lemon, lavender and was great too
Sides – 4/5 – mashed potatoes, green beans, and mac were good but nothing special.
Bread – 4/5 – two breads given were solid with two butters (regular and truffle)
Salad – 1/5 – it was literally like a BLT without bread. Soaked in ranch. Probably would get the Greek next time knowing this
Desert – 5/5 – Cheesecake was fantastic with the slight amount of caramel fruit. The chocolate cupcake with cream cheese icing was great too!
Overall, solid meats, drinks, and dessert. It is probably overpriced for what it is. That being said, a fantastic server led to a wonderful treat of an evening!
Believe it or not we’ve had gift certificates since last Christmas and every time we’d call to make reservations they were booked up for a few months. On a whim Mrs. got on Open Table tonight and was able to get reservations from a cancellation for 8:30she told me. At first I didn’t believe her because I knew how hard it was to get in but she did!
We arrived beforehand but good thing because parking was crazy busy and we parked about 1/4 mile down the street. Wasn’t too bad of a walk but Ruby Hack #1 pay the $8 valet especially if the weather is nasty or your date isn’t dressed for a hike.
Zoe was our waitress and was very nice and explained everything perfectly. We settled on splitting the 16 oz ribeye baked potato and Freddie salad along with parm fries and Brussels sprouts. The bread came out first with 2 butters- herbed and plain. Seated in the bar got a little noisy but still quiet enough to talk. The steak was by far one of the best ones we’ve ever had with a nice char but still juicy and tasty. Got a side of the horseradish sauce but honestly didn’t really need it. The baked potatoes melted in your mouth, sprouts were good but not really a big fan of the parm fries but the little baby bottle of ketchup was cute.
We told Zoe it was our anniversary we were celebrating and she brought out a chocolate cupcake and really hammered the overeating home! But worth it.
All in all it was a very nice dinner all the staff were super nice people!
Our server Gary was amazing. He anticipated our every need. I had the ribeye, which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Even Jason, the guy who made sure we had no crumbs on the table was on point.
We had a special treat when the general manager Clint and his assistant Riley came out to greet us to ensure everything was to our satisfaction.
Highly recommend The Precinct.
