The Potion Portal (formerly known as The Vortex Bar and Game Room) is the same awesome arcade bar that you’ve come to know and love. Same owners, same amazing staff. Nothing has changed but our sign. Where has this place been all of my life!!! Love it!! Pinball, full bar and food next door so all needs are met We’ll be back over & over again. It’s the place to go and enjoy!! Lots of neat add-ons like game controllers hanging out, Pac Man lights!! So glad to have found it!!

One of the better bar run-ins I’ve had. The owner PJ was real chill and you could tell he knew all his regulars. They had karaoke night, which I’d never participated in karaoke before, so you know I had to join! Had a fantastic time there, will be returning for the pool and pinball machines!

Fun video game themed bar with arcade games and pinball. Wide selection of beer and a good atmosphere. Not a huge place, and some of the arcade machines were not on when I went. Pinball was great though.

My favorite neighborhood hang. Bartenders are always helpful. They have snacks but you are allowed to bring food Love the games. We played cards and board games. There’s a great selection on tap that rotates and pinball games. Giant Connect 4 is one of my favorite games ever and they have it here. Potion Portal is great for a quick or drink or drinks with friends.

Great place to visit! My boyfriend and I are on vacation in St Pete and wanted to play some arcade games. Such a great atmosphere with all around genuine people. The bartender/owner was great, super friendly. All around great experience, would recommend to anyone in the area!!

So this is an interesting unique place, with old game controllers for bar decorations. It’s one part Cheers, and another a throw back to pin ball games and arcade games. I took my son thinking he would like it and we sat there on a Friday afternoon watching Terminator, him some non alcohol old school soda out of a bottle. They support the place next door on food. Have to say this was the best pizza I ever had at a Latin restaurant. And less than 20 bucks. Draft IPA was also great.
