Had to visit since it’s the same as my family name! Fun place to go, good food & atmosphere! I had the Caesar salad with chicken and shrimp. Yum! We celebrated a birthday & shared the deep fried cheesecake. Never had that before! Staff was lovely too.

After driving by this place for months, and wondering if it was good or not, I decided to go here with my family for my birthday dinner. We were seated at 6 pm on Friday, and ordered quickly because we were hungry. We ordered two different cheeseburgers, a French dip, and the chardonnay chicken(which we were taking to go). Anyways, after several inquires of where our food was it came out 45 minutes later. The burgers were decent and the French dip had a huge chunk of fat in it that wasn’t edible. About half way through our meal we asked the waitress to make sure they were preparing the to go order because we didn’t want to wait even longer after we finished eating. She said she put in the order, but after several inquires of when our to go order would be ready, she came to our table and said that there were still 6 orders ahead of ours. Anyways, we told her just to cancel the to go order because we didn’t want to wait 30 more minutes for it, since we already finished eating. To top it off, the bill included an 18% gratuity for just 3 diners. I always tip a lot, but usually a tip like this is for when they help 6 or more people, not just 3 people. Plus to be honest, the waitress didn’t deserve the 18% tip. Anyways, I paid my bill with the included tip, and left. I would never come here again or refer any of my friends or family to come here either. This was one of the worse dining experiences I’ve ever had.

Modesto’s best kept secret! We just had an appetizer and a drink and we were total surprised at the quality and ambiance of this place. Go see for yourself you will not be disappointed.

This was my fourth time eating here. The first time is when my wife and I got married in 2011. Every experience has been a good one. Today I came here and had a Classic French dip sandwich with garlic fries. The flavors are amazing! To drink, I had a hard cider and ice water with lemon. The atmosphere is just as good as I remember and even better. The service here was amazing everybody was very friendly. For dessert I have their fried cheesecake. And oh my gosh it was amazing! In fact the fried cheesecake is a must try so save room for dessert. The portions here are good!

Went on a comedy night. The comedians were great. However, they needed to have more attentive weight staff after getting my order correct because I had to send it back. It was actually really good but everybody had it in their meal already so I ate in the car on the way home Boo for them however, they do have this great drink I wasn’t able to try but I watched four girls get smashed on it it’s a giant size mimosa, and when I say giant, I mean giant it’s like the size of a football I’d like to go back just for that reason alone other than that everyone was really nice it was a really clean nice area they should’ve dim to the lights a little bit more while the act was on stage however, it was still really great time. I only gave it a three because they screwed up my food and closed early.

Absolutely the most underrated place in all of Modesto, outside of Bauhaus.

Went there for line dancing lessons with Deb. Omg so much fun! I had never been to the restaurant before. The food was so good. All the servers that smiles on their face were very attentive, so refreshing to see happy people. Deb was amazing and her teaching of line dancing. That was so much fun! Now I plan on doing it at least once a month. But yes the food was so good! You and my friends all have something different and everyone of us were so happy for those choices. And the cocktail didn’t hurt either. Excellent so if you haven’t tried it out, please do. You won’t be disappointed. Prices were so reasonable.

Recently went to their 90’s brunch and my experience was not the best. The waitresses are not attentive at all, I suggest if you do a brunch only have a brunch menu and don’t try serve other dishes. Had to wait an hour for food to come out, how does someone get to their seat at 11:45 and their food does not get there till 1:00. So definitely go back to the drawing board when it comes to hosting another event like that. However the drinks were great, but that was only plus thing. I won’t be coming back.

Busy night at Comedy night. The Twisted Cesar Salad had perfectly cooked shrimp, slices of avocado, crisp greens and chicken that was SO dry I thought the edges were a cruton that snuck in my bite. I suspect it was microwaved. Vigorously. Service was good, they were very busy.Their nachos have changed since I had them when I was there a long time ago, they were generic. Yes, would go back.
