Great service! Located right on the Apple River. Nice patio area. Food was brought out quickly and it was very good. Very close to the Cedar Lake Speedway. We were in town for the World of Outlaws and this was our go to spot!!

Service was good, bartender was very helpful. Food wasn’t good at all. Cheese curds and tots tasted great – crispy and fresh grease. The breakfast was horrible – overcooked bacon and undercooked scrambled eggs. The view of the river from the bar was a treat.

This pizza is terrible beyond terrible. Heggies is 2x as good. They undercooked the pizza badly. Inedible. White on the bottom. Then I sent it back and they put it back jn the oven and it was so much worse and still undercooked on bottom. Hated it

We were in town from Iowa for racing at Cedar Lake for my nephew. It was late and we decided we needed to find a place to eat that was a quick, sit down meal. There was 7 of us and we had a friendly waitress.
We placed our order and after waiting for a bit the waitress came back to tell us that they were out of cod and had no chicken strips. We picked out a few other things to order
Three of us in our party ordered burgers and they were inedible for the most part. They had a bad taste and we’re extremely dry. We did not get crackers or croutons with our salads that we ordered and it was ok but not the best thing we have had.
There were a lot of drunk people in there acting obnoxious and very loud. Probably not a place I would take children.

The Cuban sandwich is AMAZING!!!! It’s why we keep coming back. And the crispy tater tots!!! Mmmmmmmmmmm!! Chicken is great too. And the view of the creek is so pleasant, even this time of year.,

This place was an incredible spot to find! I was in town for the World FITASC championship and had the privilege to stop by here a couple of times. The people are super friendly, the staff is exceptional, and the food omg the food was so good. The pizza… I almost ate the whole thing by myself right there at the bar! If you’re anywhere near this spot you need to go check it out!

Nesides great food and service, Live music on the patio, FANTASTIC. Tannen Jackson. Local guy with original songs and variety of cover songs. GREAT talent! Watch for him at local taverns! Worth seeing!

7:25 pm Saturday night. Filthy patio and dining area, loud jukebox playing, inattentive and slow staff (bartenders only), sliding glass door opening and closing allows smoke and bugs from patio into dining area. Three staff later we got to order food… Ordered The Post burger with an extra patty with fries & one soda. And when the food FINALLY came, the burger was raw inside… the fries were ok. And 20 minutes later we finally got their attention so we could ASK for our check! They discounted the bill for one of the burger patties. Never again. The Post Bar and Grill is a bar, filled with over-served, arguing “clientele” and lazy staff! Not a place to eat.
