If ever in this small town I suggest you stop here it’s not what it appears I believe it was an old government building or school they turned into a nice little place to get some delicious food. I had the fish tacos with the Jalapeno Coleslaw and it was melt in your mouth delicious I’m not a big fish eater but have enjoyed these in Florida so I tried them here and was pleased and surprised at the quality and taste. Tilapia isn’t my fish of choice but they made it taste amazing. My son had the tenderloin which I had a nibble of and it was very juicy about a half inch thick with a lite breading that complimented the pork. His girlfriend had the chicken tenders that looked like chicken legs they were very big. Our server was very kind and made sure we got refills and was very knowledgeable about the menu and what was good. I was surprised by the prices for they were more than manageable and the food was alot to eat so be hungry if you stop here for you will not be disappointed with anything they bring…

Food was good. Staff was friendly. But the atmosphere was super cool! Old post office bldg converted into restaurant just adds to the historical charm of this little riverside town.

Wow!! The food was great! The service was outstanding! Try the mixed cheese cubes with marinara sauce!!!! Top it off with the wild wing pizza omg!!!! The best hands down the very best buffalo style chicken pizza I’ve ever had the privilege to eat. Thank you to the people at The Post!! Job well done!! Highly Recommend!!

The fried pickles were really good and well worth $8 because of how many they provided. We also got fettuccine alfredo, tortellini with marinara sauce, a bacon cheese burger, and tilapia. The burger was just a basic burger nothing too amazing. We did not like the tilapia at all. The seasoning was way too spicy. Tortellini was pretty good. The pastas were huge dishes.

The Post is a unique restaurant and bar located in a restored old US post office building. The fish tacos were very good. Service was equally good. Parking is available in the front along the main downtown street or in the back. The Post is probably one of the better restaurants in Tell City.

Stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner. Nice place. It appears to be an old post office which is really cool. The layout for seating and the bar are really good. First place I ever saw have fried green tomatoes. We had baked ziti and it was really good. I would definitely recommend stopping there if you are in the area.

The Post Restaurant is a great place to eat. My friend & I had a large loaded pizza. My friend checked out the beer variety. This bldg was originally a Federal Post Office. It still has the teller bars in windows behind the seats. Still has the giant safe or vault they now use for storage of liquor. A must see in Tell City.

The grilled Tell City fish tacos are wonderful. Just the right amount of spice. A great summer meal. The atmosphere of the old post office was my reason for visiting. Nice historic building.

Update.
The owner has gotten rid of mashed potatoes and mac and cheese so unless you like fries your only option is salad or steamed vegetables. I had gotten chicken strips and they come with fries.I asked if I could pay the $4 difference in price and upcharge to fried mushrooms but owner refused as that is a appetizer and not a side. I didn’t get it as fries are $4 and mushrooms $8. If I can’t eat the fries very well why not let me pay the difference and get something better since he took away the other 2 options I liked in the past. To make it worse my strips were a bit overdone and there is zero seasoning in the breading so it was a dry bland meal. The positive is our waitress was sweet and attentive. I felt like they think I’m a Karen but my reviews are usually pretty nice. I hate complaining as everyone has off days but if a customer let’s you know they have difficulty with eating certain foods wouldn’t you try and make it easier for them? Price is still decent but the food quality has slipped and while the servers are great I think it will be awhile before I go back.

The food is great and fair priced. This is a nice restaurant good for family or date night. The service is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is fine. It is a old post office so it has a small odd smell. It’s not bad just different. We eat there about 2 or 3 times a month.
