This place…. The guy working here was more interested in his phone conversation than taking my order. I went with the “Almost Famous Bowl” with brisket, because if you are going to make a claim like this, it better be great. Set me back 15 bills, 20 with a drink and tax. After pulling all the fat off the top of the bowl, I was left with about 3.00 worth of corn, mashed potatoes and brisket. And I hate to break the news, but this is making nobody famous. Sick to your stomach, perhaps. Famous, no. KFC Bowls are better for a third of the cost. Stick with Asian and Latino concepts here.

Awesome fall day perfect for some outdoor dining at Parkville market. My choice was the Portly Pig amazing pulled pork with coleslaw and spicy beans over grilled corn bread. I went with the spicy bourbon sauce it was perfect just the right amount of kick. The pulled pork was melt in your mouth awesome, spicy beans were on point, coleslaw was perfectly dressed and added the right amount of crunch. I did mention this was all heaped on top of delicious grilled scratch made cornbread right? I noticed they had a dessert menu if you can resist Smoked chocolate bourbon bread pudding you have more willpower than I do. You also would have missed out on a truly sensational dessert. It was as my southern friends would say so good it makes you want to slap your Mama sorry for the iPhone pics tough in bright sun

Such phenomenal food and overall an incredible experience! We ordered the “Soon to be Famous” bowl, which consisted of mashed potatoes, pulled pork, corn, and a delicious gravy. We also ordered a side of corn bread and the best green beans we’ve ever had! They were smoky, flavorful, and WELL seasoned!!!
On top of their incredible food, the service is EXCELLENT!! Everyone is so kind and down to earth, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Definitely a must-try at Parkville Market.
Bravo! ✨

As I came to write this review I noticed the most recent one was the lady causing a scene in front of me in the line. She came up to the girl and guy in the front, who greeted her nicely, cutting in front of my boyfriend and I looking at the menu directly in front of them. She had all intentions to come and mess with these two for what sounds like a past experience. She continued to pull out her phone to take photos which then the girl in the front proceeded to call her boss and express she was uncomfortable with the situation. My boyfriend and I decided to come back at another time because it seemed like this lady didn’t like any resolution the young girl was giving her. We came back at about 3:30 and the same staff members were there with lively spirits and the same smiley greeting as before! I ordered the 2 Meat Combo with Brisket, Sausage, Mashed Potatoes & Garlicky Greenbeans. I would say myself, with my personal experience the staff, food, and Inflation (because…lets be real ). The staff were nice and friendly, we even had a laugh. I would definitely recommend this place and am even considering booking catering for my baby shower! (yes the inflation charge is stated on receipt and on their pos before paying! ☺️)

I love thier pork ribs, I their garlic mashed potatoes and garlic green beans even more. The homemade gravy for the mashed potatoes is too die for. I can literally drink it it’s so good. It reminds me of my Grandma’s, and she was born and lived in the south. If you like bears you’re going to love the Portly pig. Also, I prefer PP’s smoked wings over Bear’s smokehouse. I will be returning and probably on some occasions just to order the sides, lol.

I’ve been wanting to go here for some time. Finally had the opportunity to go here yesterday 5/26/22. I ordered the pork burnt ends and the potato salad with the smoked baked beans. It was all delicious. Great pricing. Next time I will just go earlier so they have more of what I want to try. Unfortunately I went later in the evening and they were out of some of the things I wanted like the brisket. Definitely a must try.

I ordered the Screen Corn, Loaded Chips, and a soda. The street corn was very good. The loaded chips were okay. They were very heavy so I didn’t finish them. The kettle chips were simply plain chips but held the toppings pretty well.

I had their food at my job Amazon during my lunch break. Their food is fantastic. The pork just melts in your mouth like butter. I unfortunately don’t have a picture because I ate it all. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend their food.

SO GOOD. I had the pork rib mac and cheese with the spicy bourbon bbq sauce and it was incredible. The cornbread crumbles on top are amazing.
My mom had the combo plate with pulled pork, garlicky green beans, and smoked beans. We also got a piece of cornbread and it was delicious!
