HIDDEN GEM ALERT
Had a great time at The Port Tavern! The music was AMAZING and kept the energy so high all night. We also hung out on their enclosed, heated patio, which is such an awesome option. It’s perfect if you want a slightly more intimate, less crowded space to chill—you still get to enjoy the music, just at a level where you can actually talk, AND they have TVs out there too! The food was absolutely delicious across the board, but you have to order the chicken skewers—the bread they come with is the best! Add in the super reasonable prices, and this place is a total winner. Can’t wait to go back!

PORT TAVERN IS THE PLACE TO BE!!!! I have nothing bad to say about this place, overtime I come here I have a great time. This past weekend I brought my Bestfriend from VA and she left the bar saying this will be her forever place every time she comes. The owner and everybody who works there are amazing, they all have such an amazing energy, they always pass by your table to ask if everything is ok, in other words they are very attentive to their guests. I love this place, if you come to Elizabeth New Jersey make sure to come in here I promise you won’t regret it! THE FOOOD I LOVE THEIR TACOS & WINGS. Even their hookahs are meticulously maintained the pipes are cleaned daily using water pressure, which really speaks to their high standards. The draft lines are excellent as well, ensuring every drink tastes fresh and perfect.

My daughter celebrated her birthday there this week. Top notch service and the owner is Soo accommodating! The outdoor space is great and polite and attentive staff . I will be back !
We returned this year to celebrate my daughter’s birthday again I can’t say enough about this venue. The upgrades to the radio are amazing ! Shout out to bobby and his staff for always making us feel like family . Great atmosphere and vibe. Burgers were delicious ! Thank you port tavern, see you soon

I’m originally from Jersey but it’s been awhile, came to visit family and show my man the east coast and this spot is the place! The atmosphere is so comfortable, they treat you like family, the owner is super involved and mingles with his customers, it’s clean, music is great and the tacos are fire. Highly recommend!

Don’t sleep on this place. It may not look like much from the outside, but the inside and the picnic area outback is all that. The place has been open for just two months and recently celebrating their grand opening. The decor is really nice and the sound system is top notch. The drinks are flowing and they also serve hookah. They don’t serve food but they will allow you to order food from the eaters in the area and have it delivered. The bartenders are kind and courteous along with the owners. Trust me, you are really going to like this place. Go drink and be merry and have a great time.

My friends and I visited this establishment, and at first everything was fine. We ordered a margarita pitcher, but the taste was horrendous, so we sent it back. The waiter took it to the bartender to be remade, but it was still terrible. We then decided to order a different margarita pitcher instead.
At no point did the waiter mention that we would still be charged for the first one, nor did he clarify whether it would be taken off the tab. Any professional waiter would have communicated that upfront. To make matters worse, my card was charged immediately without even being shown an itemized receipt.
When I asked the waiter about the charge, he said we were being billed because we had taken a sip—after my card was already swiped. I then asked to speak with the manager, Christopher, who was extremely disrespectful. He became aggressive and used derogatory language toward my female friend and me. It was completely unprofessional and disappointing.
We eventually spoke with Odis (I believe that was his name), who refunded the money. However, the issue was never about the money—it was about how poorly the situation was handled. The lack of professionalism and respect was unacceptable.
I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
