I tried the short ribs with a side of fries and coleslaw and the chicken wings. All were very good, very tasty. I got the hot and peri cajun and my mouth was on fire. Just what I was looking for. I want to go back again to try the burger, burrito, perishwarma, and half chicken.

There is no inside seating. You go inside to just order or wash your hands at the hand washing station and then sit outside on the deck.
The older lady at the register cooked and took our orders and delivered. She was very sweet and kind. Although we sat outside at night in the winter, there was a ceiling heater that kept us warm enough.

Port Peri Peri’s new Kirkland location has been open just 10 days and already feels like it’s been a neighborhood favorite for years.
We ordered two quarter white meat meals (breast and wing): one with the milder and mild sauce and the other with the medium for a little kick. Every bite was juicy and layered with that smoky, chargrilled flavor you can only get from a real flame. The sauces added personality and zingy, earthy, and deeply craveable.
Now let’s talk sides. The peri fries were Golden and addictively seasoned. The flame-grilled corn on the cob with lemon and herb sauce was sweet, tart, and smoky in the best way. The rice was soft and satisfying, and the perimayo corn? Creamy, rich, with just the right hit of spice.
The portion size is just right. Although some reviewers believe the portion sizes are small. However, It is important to understand that the chicken is organic, cage free with no added hormones.
And then there’s Aslam, the owner. He’s not just running a restauran, he’s hosting a celebration. Friendly, genuine, and passionate about what he does, he made sure we felt right at home. Before we left, he surprised us with their house chai tea which was a warm, fragrant, and deeply comforting surprise. The kind of gesture that turns a great meal into a memorable experience.
Bonus points: Port Peri Peri is one of the few waterfront spots in Kirkland that keeps the lights on late, open until 10PM Sunday, 11 PM Monday through Thursday and 12AM Friday and Saturday.
During the winter months, Aslam and his customer experience focused team provide covered and heated patio seating outside so you never have to go far for a food during late nights.
Whether you’re strolling by the lake or catching a bite after hours, they’ve got you covered. 🙂

Peri Cajun sauce mixed with lemon + herbs was recommended by the owner. The taste was great! Unfortunately, I got the chicken leg/thigh piece and there really wasn’t that much chicken on it so the portion felt small. I would try again though with the tenders.

Me and a coworker had two 1/2 chickens between us, one mild and one medium. Also had some wings along with the cassava fries(def try this when you get a chance!) the chicken was delicious and was a nice combo of spicy and citrus flavor.

I’m happy that they have now opened closer to my place. The location has the same great taste and attention, and I love the location. Ideal for a walk by the lake and then having a meal or chai. This location has outdoor dining only with views of Lake Washington. The owners mentioned that they will be winterizing the sitting area for the colder months. Hand slaughtered Halal food.

This food is so good! We had the potato salad and chicken, both were phenomenal. We got mild and lemon herb. The mild was so good, I can’t foresee myself coming here and getting anything else unless I bump up the spice level. We’ll be back, a lot! Especially in the summer.

I had this place on my list to try for awhile and finally was able to stop in today for lunch. I must say it was a total let down and I probably won’t be back. I ordered the 4 chicken tenderloins with rice with a medium spice level. The main issue was that the chicken was so dry and overcooked it was almost inedible. I’ve eaten overcooked chicken before, but this might be the most dry overcooked chicken I’ve ever tasted. Even cutting it with a knife was difficult and it was just breaking apart. The lady at the counter was nice, the food came out fast and the setup is basically a take out counter with some covered outdoor seating which is fine if the weather is nice. Beyond that I found the value for what you get to be just okay and the medium spice level was pretty intense, but that’s not a deal breaker on it’s own.

Aw, we really wanted to like this place as my husband is Portuguese, but it was just WAY too salty. It’s weird too, I promise I’m not someone who usually complains about salt, I LOVE salt. The skin of the chicken was almost inedible with how salty it was. Maybe it was a bad batch? We visited 1/23. Loved the spice level (I got hot) and the taste was good. Just way waaaay too salty.
