One of the best classic cocktail lounges I have ever been to. Bartender is a real pro, and she knows how to mix a great cocktail! Beautiful rustic, historic vibes with a modern flair. Atmosphere, drinks service are 10/10. Dress is smart casual/cocktail, respect the history and show up looking sharp! You’ll be glad you did. 🙂

This place was the best part of our two day trip to red wing… The bartender was the most attentive, friendly person that we’ve ever met… She made the best suggestions for drinks that we were unfamiliar with and each one was catered to our tastes…Lori you are a class act!

We had a mixed experience at The Port in Red Wing. On the positive side, the service was excellent—our waitress was attentive, kind, and professional. However, there were some noticeable gaps in menu knowledge. For example, when we asked about the ahi tuna dish, we were told it was caught local, which raised some eyebrows given the location.

The drinks were a definite low point. Everything we ordered tasted watered down and underwhelming. The Old Fashioned as more fufu like and didn’t match the spirit of the drink, and the Espresso Martini lacked any real espresso flavor—it just tasted like lightly flavored water.

That said, the food was fantastic. I had the tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The scallops were equally impressive—seared beautifully and seasoned well.

In short: excellent food and service, but the cocktail menu seriously needs work. With better drinks and more accurate menu knowledge, this place could be a real standout.

Gem of a restaurant in downtown Redwing. Started with a cheese platter. We chose the blue cheese. We love blue cheese, but the star was the chutney that accompanied it. We are not sophisticated, so we rolled up the cheese in the provided lettuce and dang, it was good. We chose to split the rib eye (medium rare) and the salmon. Both were cooked to perfection. The rib eye was juicy and tender with all the delicious fat it should have. The salmon was on a bed of vegetables mixed with bacon and an avocado spread. Delicious is all I have to say. The knowledgeable waitress steered me in the right direction with the wine pairings. Everything was perfect. Price wise, this was very reasonable. Especially compared to our usual downtown mpls excursions.

Historical basement lounge. Reminiscent of a speak easy. Don’t miss enjoying a cocktail or two at this great spot.

Great spot in Red Wing. I think the service we received was as good as it can be given there was one person serving, just understaffed. The drinks are fun with a nice variety. The charcuterie board was tasty. The ambiance had the feel of a speak easy. Will be back to try again! Cheers!

We were fortunate to join for the soft opening of their new menu and MY GOODNESS was it wonderful!
First we order the chicken wings…. I am not a chicken wing fan but I could not get enough (we ordered a second plate togo)
Next we ordered the Scallops with Corn and Bacon, as well as the Mushroom Bucatini. I could not have dreamt of better flavors . My hubs now has a favorite spot in town!

I’m so thankful Red Wing has this delicious addition! I’m so full but am already planning our next visit!

Oh, they have my fav wine…. Four Virtues Cabernet. Life can’t get better! Yum all around.

No photos, sorry. Busy eating and enjoying life 🙂

The service and atmosphere at the port is always fantastic. Very welcoming and the bartender can make any cocktail you want. I just wish they had more food options. This would be a great sit down dinner place, but all they have are appetizers.

Family wedding jn the hotel. We went here twice. Once there was only one server/bartender for the whole restaurant on a Friday night. Drinks took over 30 minutes. Gabby was the manager. The next night we still came back after the wedding as that was what the hotel recommended. There were more servers. But extremely rude. Our large party was treated like trash by Gabby, who was our server and the manager this time. She was angry we had a group of 10, and suggested we go to another bar. Even tho they were open for over another hour. Then, when one person from our group had an issue with their id (it had apparently just expired and he hadn’t realized it) the entire group was kicked out. She took drinks out of people’s hands, shouted at us, and made a huge scene. We were not being rowdy, did not expect any issues, and did not know why she exploded on us. Was extremely rude, and no one knew why we were being kicked out. Horrible experience both nights, after spending so much money on the wedding!
