The Porkette is a little bit of everything. We specialize in Southern fusion, serving dishes ranging from Southern and Texas BBQ and comfort food, but also add in touches of Caribbean, Cajun, Italian, and Asian dishes and flavors. In 2023, we renamed ourselves from The Parkette but The Porkette still serves the food from the same family that made us locally famous for over 35 years. We also cater anywhere in the upstate! I completely forgot to take a picture of my BBQ sandwich, and the Mac n Cheese, but it was wonderous!! Fantastic service, as well. I’m not sure if it was the owner or the chef, but the servers and staff made sure to check that everything was good. It was fantastic! Highly recommended, whether you eat in or eat out.

What a nice place! The Porkette was worth the stop and apparently a popular lunch option as they were already out of macaroni and cheese by the time we got there. No worries, it was still excellent. The only suggestion would be to watch the fried okra cooking. It was a little overdone. But all in all everyone was nice and we enjoyed the lunch.

Chris, the owner, was very polite and informative. The food was great. Southern BBQ with a twist. Brisket was on point, fried green tomatoes just like grandma would make, and the smoked chicken and dumplings what? And let’s talk about the shrimp etouffee…amazing. If you are tired of regular BBQ, come check this place out. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

This is the best barbecue I’ve had in a really long time. We’re from out of town and stopped here for lunch. Service was 11/10, smoked wings were perfect, ribs were great. Get the chicken and dumplings for a nice warm-hug feeling. PS they sell the dry rub

Visit was early in the day. Around 11:30. I got the sampler platter. Everything was meagerly ok. The brisket was charred and all of my meats were dry. Wasn’t impressed. The staff were friendly as always.

The bbq tasted like beef jerky. It seemed like they put it in the dehydrator. The Mac and cheese had no flavor, it tasted like it was just noodles. They charge you 3.25 per side and 2 dollars for a drink if you tell them you don’t want bread on your plate. Worst bbq I’ve ever had and I paid a lot for it.

My buddy Rodney and I, visited for the first time and were greeted with Southern hospitality and Delicious barbecue. I had the Pulled pork sandwich, and Rodney had the Ribs and pulled pork plate ️. Great spot in Pickens. Super nice on-site owner and counter help. Loved the pulled pork, homemade chips, & cornbread bread. Waffle Fries & cookie were great too.
