From the moment I walked in, the restaurant felt warm and welcoming with a true home-style atmosphere. The sweet tea was excellent, the chicken-fried steak was clearly made from scratch, and the eggs were fresh and real. A great experience overall

“I had such a great meal here today! The burger was a dream—soft golden bun and a patty seasoned to perfection. They really listened to how I wanted it ordered! The fries had the best crunch, and the staff was so sweet and welcoming. You should definitely stop by and treat yourself!”

This was my first time here. My daughter brought me. We sat outside and the atmosphere was very nice. Our waitress was super nice and friendly and checked on us often to refill our drinks. I got the chicken fried steak lunch portion with mashed potatoes and green beans and it was just the perfect amount. I will definitely come back! This place was fantastic!

We didnt know WHAT to expect, but it was all good.
Welcomed as soon as we walked in, sat where we wanted, it wasn’t busy, and waitresses were helping each other out.
Fried pickles were very very crispy, were kinda salty, but the hot sauce took some of that away.
I got the catfish and shrimp basket, with onion rings, hush puppies, and corn. Fried fish and grilled shrimp, both had an amazing taste. Onion rings were amazing, but maybe could have been fried a little longer.
Wife had chicken fried chicken, cucumber salad, and potatoes and rolls (soft and delicious)
Daughter had a club sammich with fries, she said it was good..
If I see on the menu anything “buffalo” i have to try the sauce. And I did get it and it didnt disappoint, it complimented the fried pickles and fish just fine..
I would definitely go back for breakfast..
Oh oh oh and for dessert I had a strawberry cheesecake and the wife had pecan pie..

Had this place on my “to go” list for a while now. The atmosphere was great and relaxing, just what’s needed for breakfast. The service was excellent! Unfortunately, wasn’t the biggest fan of the food or coffee. Wanted coffee stronger. The works omelet was good, but did not meet my expectations. The hash browns were salty. The steak was ok better after salt and pepper. Pancake was good.

Our waitress, Marianne, was very attentive and kind to us. The food was also delicious, seasoned well, and didn’t take long at all to reach our table. If you’re looking for a very old-school feeling restaurant with delicious, affordable food, and even better service, check this place out! Would definitely come back.

On Saturdays, walk from the Porch around the corner to the Farmer’s Market.

My husband and I wanted breakfast, but didn’t want to go to a large chain. We searched locations in our area and The Porch was recommended. Glad we gave it a try. The food was good – country potatoes were perfectly seasoned and pancakes were huge, nice and fluffy. Great customer and our waitress, Mandy, was very personable and attentive. We may have found a new breakfast spot.

Okay, first of all, my first impression was not good and I’m big on first impressions as it will determine whether I visit a place again or not. I received a sweet tea, yet didn’t receive a straw and had to stop a waitress to get a straw for my tea. I ordered the breakfast that comes with 2 eggs, choice of meat, hash browns and a pancake. I asked for my eggs to be “very easy scrambled,” yet when my waitress brought them to me, they were “very easy, over easy,” and that’s not what I asked for. The waitress had to take them back and get the eggs I asked for. As I was eating, I noticed something was missing from my plate…I’d received the eggs, sausage and pancake, but not the hash browns. So I had to stop another worker(she might have been the owner/manager of the establishment given how she was dressed) in order to let her know that I didn’t receive my hash browns with my order. She promptly got them for me, but I had already finished the other part of my food when I received the hash browns. I wasn’t properly checked on and I had to stop my waitress for more tea since it was almost gone and it needed refilling. Not once did I have anyone check to see if I needed anything. The service was pretty bad that I couldn’t even leave a tip for the waitress. I leave tips for good customer service, and this was as sub-par as you can get. I spent too much money on 1 person for the service I received . I will not be returning and I will not be recommending this place to others. I was very disappointed
