Made a reservation for 5:30 PM on a Saturday however I showed up a half hour early and the place was somewhat empty so unsure if reservation was truly necessary.

After we settled down and ordered our startup cocktail, we proceeded to the dinner menu and to be quite honest, everything came out appealing and very appetizing. I have nothing negative to comment.

Overall, a nice local establishment with great hospitality and I will no doubt I’ll be back soon and try the rest of the menu.

The place was empty when we arrived, so I’m not sure if reservations are necessary. It was nicely decorated for the holidays, which gave it a warm, festive feel. Service was good, and the burger was solid fries were good too. Overall, a pleasant experience and I’d go back.

Unfortunately, I have to lower my rating to 2 stars. Six months ago I did enjoy my meal here, but things went downhill on my second visit. The same salad we ordered on our first visit wasn’t that great and the dressing tasted off. I also ordered the same Mac and cheese which I had on my previous visit and this time it was terrible! It was overloaded with big, chunky breadcrumbs and the cheese used wasn’t tasty. My husband didn’t enjoy his Fried chicken and thought it tasted off. My sister thought her Chicken sandwich was good. I can’t recommend after my last meal here.

The Pomeroy was absolutely incredible! Carmine and his staff did an exceptional job hosting our baby shower, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Our guests raved about the food, and with a guest list of over 60 people, there was more than enough to go around. They did not skimp on the food or the drinks, and every dish was delicious.

The entire team was extremely pleasant, attentive, and easy to work with from start to finish. We felt truly taken care of, and our event couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Highly recommend The Pomeroy for any special occasion!

Fantastic all around. Small but nice restaurant/bar. I got the gnocchi and was impressed. All the meals were really delicious. Fish tacos were plain per a 9 year old, don’t blame the restaurant for the appearance
Service was attentive and friendly. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner as well. Very kind people.

I had an amazing experience to this bar today, and i want to thanks Ece. She is professional, attentive, and has a great energy behind the bar. She is truly very welcoming — not just making drinks, but creating an atmosphere.
It I’ll definitely come back again!

First brunch in Astoria and we decided on The Pomeroy, my friends and I were drawn to the Chicken and Waffle pictures and was the main factor why LOL.
Anyway, pretty cool place. Surprisingly not packed on a Saturday at 1PM but we took that as more space for us then. 🙂
Maria was our waitress and she took good care of us. Funnily enough we all went for the Steak & Eggs for the protein kick but since Chicken and Waffles were the reason why we were there, we decided to order it for the table so we can share. Steak & Eggs were good, came with potatoes & greens. Chicken & Waffles were yum and we couldn’t finish it (no surprise) and didn’t really need to take it home since we were all heading somewhere after. My friends went for the 90 mins. Bottomless drinks for $20 where they could interchange mimosas, bloody marys etc. I went for the Astoria Sunrise mocktail which was pretty good actually for $10 each. Prices are pretty fair and can appreciate that. Great value for brunch!

Had some time to kill before an appointment and popped in for a drink during happy hour. Loved my cocktail, the Astoria sunset. Friendly bartender and regulars. Didn’t eat but the food looked great. Will definitely return!

Really love it here. Probably my favorite New American restaurant in Astoria. Came here on a chilly night and it was decorated so cute for the holidays. Unfortunately they were out of a few of the specials but everything we got was delicious. You HAVE to get the fried pickles cause they’re good but the dill sauce that comes with them is even better. And the Mac and cheese is so freaking good. I got a delicious glass of chilled red, and some other sparkling cocktail and the bartender graciously made my boyfriend a new Negroni cause there was something weird floating in his glass. Love this spot.

A Perfectly Cozy Date Night at The Pomeroy!

We celebrated two weeks of being married with a date night at The Pomeroy during Astoria Restaurant Week, and it was fantastic! We chose to sit at the corner of the bar instead of a table (plenty were available), and it turned out to be a perfect cozy spot for people-watching and soaking in the vibe.

I ordered the Restaurant Week special and kicked things off with the frickles – crispy, tangy, and paired with a sauce that was chef’s kiss. We also requested the chipotle dipping sauce, which added a spicy kick – highly recommend doing both! For the main, I had the braised beef with creamy mashed potatoes, carrots, and asparagus. Every bite was hearty and full of flavor. For dessert, they had run out of the apple pie, which worked out perfectly because I had secretly hoped to sub in the cheesecake – and it did not disappoint! Creamy, sweet, and indulgent.

To sip: I had a pilsner, a glass of prosecco, and an espresso martini (because why not celebrate properly?) – all were excellent and balanced. My husband got the salmon, served with a bright vegetable medley and a vibrant green sauce. He loved it. He kept it classic with Tito’s martinis, straight up with a twist – smooth and strong, just the way he likes them.

We shared the frickles, split my cheesecake, and he also had the crème brûlée, which was beautifully torched and perfectly creamy underneath.

The service was fast, super friendly, and genuinely kind – plus, even the water came in chilled glasses, which is such a small touch but speaks volumes. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and while there were a few overly enthusiastic bar patrons (it was a Saturday night, after all), it didn’t take away from the warm and vibrant energy of the place.

We left happy, full, and already planning to come back. Thanks, Pomeroy, for a night to remember ❤️
