The owner, Kelly, was so hospitable and helpful. The portions are generous, and you get free miso soup upon request. All of the ingredients were fresh, including the fish. I absolutely love this place and I’m so glad that Southland got something that is healthy, fresh, and light.

I have ordered from this establishment twice and the food isn’t necessarily bad but extremely overpriced for low quality ingredients. That little cup was full of three dollar miso soup, which is half full!! and the poke bowls are very small for than $18 price. Quite a rip off.

Everything tastes incredibly fresh and full of flavor from the different proteins, veggies, to the sauces, and I can’t forget about the miso soup! Can’t wait to go back try different combinations of poke bowls! I recommend for first time visitors to ask for assistance in selecting the right combination of ingredients based on your liking so as not to discourage future visits.

I love eating here. The fish is always fresh and the people are always so nice. Definitely my favorite poke spot in Colorado.

What a beautiful, modern, and clean restaurant. They also have an excellent and caring staff. Last, but certainly not least, the best poke you will find for many states. A must visit!

(Edit 12/30/25) unfortunately the last couple of times I have been here the fish has been chewy/rough. I would like less fish but at a better quality. To be clear, the food safety at least what is visible still seems to be perfectly good with gloves. (Maybe reinforce washing hands when reentering food prep area tho) which overall I am super happy about because they at least do use gloves and seemingly clean equipment which is not the case at other area poke restaurants. So my notes here are. Everything aside from the fish is fine. I am not sure what has happened with difference in your fish in the last couple of months if it is prep or thaw or supplier but it is rough and chewy now(especially salmon). The other ingredients are still great. And I would reinforce with staff the importance of washing hands when moving from front of house to back of house before touching customer food. It takes a couple of seconds but makes a huge difference especially when dealing with higher risk foods like raw fish and costs a fraction of a penny.
(Original) Great poke and by far at least what’s visible I feel the most comfortable with the food prep and handling at this poke place. There are a lot of other poke places around here where I have gotten really sketched out by how they handle their food and raw fish.

AMAZING! Could not be happier to finally find a legit poke bowl place. The quality of the ingredients were top notch and the service was friendly and informative. Plus, you get a cup of miso on the house.
We will definitely be back.

I live in California and eat poke all the time, and this is among the best I’ve ever had. The person I ordered from couldn’t have been nicer, and they even gave me a complementary miso soup. Best poke you can get at a counter service place in the area. Will definitely return.

Delicious and fresh, but very disappointing portion size for a $20 bowl (and at most a 3oz portion of protein).

4/3/22- This is still the poke place I compare all other poke to. Best so far that I have found in Colorado.
Older: Good food for a good price. The 2 scoop was only $12.95. They also had non-sushi options like cooked shrimp and tofu. They also had non-dairy additive that they could use in their tai tea. Then we saw the guy make one of their taiyukis and we had to try one. It was amazing. We got to try the blueberry flavor and theirs is so much cheaper then other places we have seen it. Only $5.95.
