It is a poboy shop on the West Bank of New Orleans, La. They serve all of the New Orleans favorites! They are only open for lunch M-F. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is quick. Friendly and easy to stop in to eat or get it togo. I do recommend giving this one a try.

I used to eat here all the time for years since it first opened. Thursdays they have fried chicken on the menu and that was my favorite until today. I noticed something different immediately walking in at 11:45 AM. The place had six people in it and no one serving food behind the counter. I placed my order and waited quite a while for a plate of cold food. The fried chicken was nothing like before. The green beans, baked macaroni, and salad all tasted and appeared old. The salad already had dressing on it to hide the wilted lettuce. I was starving and couldn’t finish the meal. The iced tea was good, but I will not be going back for that. The price is a bit high for a Cafeteria style lunch with small chicken pieces. I’m writing this review after driving home and thinking that it must be under new management or a new owner. I read the reviews and they confirm my suspicion. Very sad to see such a very popular restaurant be destroyed by a delusional owner. Why would you change what worked so well for so many years? Now there’s no place to eat on Peter’s Road/engineers Road unless you like food trucks.

Great atmosphere at this lunch spot right by the Mississippi River. I recommend the chicken fried steak with gravy and mashed potatoes. Great food, great service. I will visit again. I will post pictures of food next time I stop by.

Solid choice for a New Orleans style meal. Great poboys, great red beans and rice. Solid and consistent food quality here! Can’t go wrong with this place.

Best po-boy you can get in the NOLA area, but maybe that’s just me. If you are a burger fan, their cheeseburger po-boys are AWESOME! they have daily hot lunch specials. And the decor inside is well worth a gander. Lots of NOLA history to look at!

Very retro and cute. Reasonably priced. I guess. O don’t know. Things seem so proxy these days. So it is what it is. $17 for hamburger fries drink and tip.

If I could give 0 I would, new ownership took over and management is beyond unprofessional. Was attempting to have lunch with a co worker, & got comment from management which had me tell her Cancel my order. Co worker had the roast beef a like someone stated since new ownership the roast beef has changed. He stated it had an awkward taste & thinks they should go back to the roast beef that was used previously. Other than that a decent atmosphere to say it’s on the West Bank. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment due to management alone, but the decline in food standards doesnt help the issue either. Although I understand nostalgia for some people.

They were short staffed so I understand why it took so long to get my food. I basically lost my woke lunch break waiting. I ordered white meat fried chicken which was more expensive, then 15 minutes later she tells me they were out, will I take dark meat? Well I told her I paid extra for white meat, she says, “it was only $1. First off it was almost $1.50, second off I work hard for my money. I don’t care if it’s 50 cents difference, I paid for it. I asked if she can give me something extra. An extra drumsticks, maybe a little bowl of pudding. She said no. I’ll never eat there again. The food wasn’t even that good.

This is one of the best restaurants that I have found on the West Bank. The food is great, the restaurant is very clean, and everything is reasonably priced. Also, the Poboy sandwiches are great, and the gumbo is some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The Point is definitely worth a try. It is lunch time only, so go early because the food sells quickly.

This place is amazing! It’s got an old school dinner vibe atmosphere. The people are super nice and the food comes in deliciously large portions. I’ve never been here before but I will be back, soon.
