Had dinner on a Thursday evening when they a had a band playing wonderful music! Enjoyed the combination appetizer platter- fried green tomatoes, alligator bites and fried crab claws. Our entrees were delicious as well- the Royal red shrimp dinner and the special which was Royal red shrimp in a Cajun brown butter sauce. Our server Shaylah was awesome. A must try. Great food and atmosphere.

You’ve heard it said that beauty is only skin deep. While lacking somewhat in curb appeal and upscale decor, the meals we enjoyed there were equal to Cobalt or any other restaurant we’ve tried in Orange Beach or Gulf Shores. We got started with bar drinks and 2 appetizers. My entree was a platter featuring fried oysters, grilled grouper, scallops, hush puppies, baked potato and vegetable of the day (green beans). The homemade tartar sauce is very good. My husband had the fresh fish and 2 sides. The slab of grilled grouper that came with his meal was enviable and I *will* be getting that next time if available! Then…the fried cheesecake. Nothing has prepared you for this decadence. It was unlike any online recipe I have since sought. The service was great. The live music was a little loud in the main room so we chose a booth in the adjacent dining room. We enjoyed it; they seemed to be playing original music not just covers. Good talent. Overall a great place to which we will plan a return visit next time we’re in town.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience at The Pointe in Gulf Breeze, Florida was absolutely unacceptable. The hostess, Jazzy, was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from the moment we arrived.

We were there to celebrate my sister’s birthday, which should have been a happy and memorable occasion. Instead, Jazzy’s attitude and behavior completely ruined her day. She spoke to us with obvious irritation, made us feel unwelcome, and acted as if we were a burden for simply being there. Basic questions were met with attitude, and there was zero effort to be kind or accommodating.

A hostess is the first point of contact and sets the tone for the entire experience — and Jazzy did the exact opposite. Her behavior was disrespectful and unnecessary, especially knowing this was a birthday celebration. It was heartbreaking to watch my sister’s excitement turn into disappointment.

Management seriously needs to address this. No guest — especially on a special occasion — should be treated this way. We left feeling upset and disrespected, and it’s not an experience we’ll forget.

This is a neighborhood restaurant off the beaten path. The fried shrimp were outstanding. Unlike most tourist spots, The Point served real gulf shrimp. Even though outside seating was closed they let us sit out there since we had our dog with us. They even turned on the fan since it was hot. Service was quick and personable. The potatoes and Cole were also very good.

The portions are generous and the food is tasty. We had an attentive, friendly server, Taylor. I only wish we had found it at the beginning of our vacation instead of on the last night.
We recommend the grilled shrimp platter and chicken fried steak.

The service wasn’t the greatest thing I had ever seen because they were busy but the food was still good. It’s a fun place to bring family and the live music is fun to take a step outside in the back. We enjoyed our time.

THE BEST seafood bisque I’ve ever eaten! PACKED with seafood!!!
UPDATE: Had the seafood bisque (shrimp and crab) and it was very disappointing. It was barely warm and just didn’t have the same wonderful taste.
Ordered fish PoBoys and they were ok. The AmberJack was fresh, blackened for my PoBoy but the sandwich just wasn’t that amazing.
SHEA was amazing, though.☺️ She was an excellent server!

Been coming here for a few years now. Prices are good and service is great! Food is always consistent and delicious. We catch our own fish and after a long day on the water; they offer the “you catch it we cook it”. Some of the best around! My only suggestion would be if they have live music (which they do many days of the week and its great) is to turn the volume down just a tad. It can be a bit loud sometimes. Keep up the great work!

Awesome food, service and drinks in a vintage 60s beach restaurant. One of my go tos when in Perdido Key. Crab claws, oysters, daily fish specials, desserts, mullet, all outstanding…and the mullet backbones are required to try on first visit! Love The Point and the staff. Go- you’ll be glad you did!!

What’s not to love. Dined in & had Coconut Shrimp dinner & Oyster platter. Fab food, atmosphere & live music. Never disappointed at The Point. Server was top shelf & very attentive. Locals & tourists frequent here. It’s always a “go to” place when in PK.
