THE VIBE!!! The vibe alone will have me back here! The food was AMAZING! I had the BBQ wings w/ greens and mac and cheese at it was so good! My daughter had wings and fries and she said the wings were so good she was about to eat the bone! I wish I would have gotten better photos but I smelled it and forgot until mid way though. The staff were so welcoming! Greeted at the door, waited on promptly, even had an amazing woman from behind the bad come and make sure we had been helped. There was a DJ and a dance floor and I know if I would have stayed a little later the dance floor would have been the spot to be! I can not wait to come back!

I came on a Friday for line dancing in good food and that’s exactly what I got when I ordered lemon pepper, wings and greens. The flavor was so good. I had to ask who was the cook because it was definitely made with love and a whole lot of flavor. I will be returning for their brunch that I keep hearing about.

My family & I ate here for my birthday dinner and we couldn’t stop raving about how AMAZING everything was. I wanted soul-food and that’s exactly what we got. We ordered just about everything on the menu and all of it was perfect. The chef even came out to ask us how the food was, you can tell she puts her heart & soul into her food. This is my new favorite!!! 10/10

This was me and my husband first time at this restaurant. The atmosphere was great and it was good to know that the owner was one of my husband childhood friends. I can tell you the food was awesome!!! The waitress were so sweet and nice and polite. I most definitely will recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family.

The Lion’s Mane Mushroom steak is delicious!!! Everything was delightful…the sweet potato cornbread (what?!?). Yes, it is sweet! The Mac and cheese and collard greens! All of it, fantastic! Go check them out! All my plant-based friends get your soul food fix here! Oh, meat eaters they have something for you, too.

I want to start this by saying anytime I go to a “soul food” place I get a Sweet Tea to drink. Sometimes you CAN judge a book by its cover, and after my first sip I knew this would be a novel I couldn’t wait to read.

Platform Dining & Lounge just opened on Main Street in downtown New Albany (right by Agave & Rye), and it already feels like a hidden gem. The food is true Southern soul; not just “inspired by” or dressed up, but like something your grandma would actually make if she decided to open that that you always told her to.

I enjoyed the one flat price per category: $10 apps, $25 entrées, $10 desserts, which honestly made ordering feel effortless and feel more… homely? Plus we loved supporting a locally owned place that clearly isn’t just warming up the same food as the place down the street.

Now for the food; in a single word: Mindblowing. And I mean that 100%. My wife ordered the lion’s mane mushrooms and gravy, and while they looked different, they somehow tasted like almost like country fried steak, which to me was wild. I got the garlic parmesan turkey ribs, and no wing place I’ve been to touches that sauce. Did you know you can make “fall of the bone” turkey ribs? I didn’t until I ate here. Absolutely amazing. Their mac and cheese? Creamy, rich, and exactly what I hoped for.

Now, apparently there’s also a separate lounge/bar/stage area space too, which we didn’t try this time since it’s set to open June 3rd, but we’ll definitely be back for karaoke and jazz night!

This place absolutely deserves to be packed, and once people find out it’s here I know it will be.

Platform is the place to be. Great atmosphere and DELICIOUS food. The dj was bumping and I was told the drinks were great. (I don’t drink)

The Platform in New Albany, Indiana is straight-up mouthwatering. My husband and I hit it up for dinner tonight per my MIL’s recommendation and loaded up on some delicious food. We dove into the catfish, fall-off-the-bone turkey ribs and the fried green tomatoes! We also devoured some greens, grilled corn, sweet potato bread, and the mac and cheese? Chef’s kiss. They’ve got options for the meat lovers and plant-based dishes (I’m trying the lions mane steak next time)

The owner, his family and staff were awesome to talk to and the owner even asked if I wanted my catfish with hot sauce and lemon pepper, which I didn’t even know was a thing, but my love of hot sauce and cat fish together was a no brainer. I absolutely demolished that plate. It’s a family-run spot, which is always a plus, and they’re planning to bring even more to downtown New Albany with karaoke and comedy nights.

Go check out The Platform. Whether you’re trying to eat in and soak up the good vibes or just grab some food to go. We need to keep these bomb restaurants around New Albany, so show them some love!
