The building is very interesting and has a lot of character, the furniture within has been tastefully chosen.
The menu is a good size and there aren’t too many options which makes the process of ordering easy.
The pizzas were lovely and thin, and the toppings were very flavoursome. The truffle flavoured aioli sauce was delicious.
The ice cream at the end of the meal was absolutely fantastic, I had the chocolate and it was full of chunks of chocolate.
We really enjoyed our evening.
My pizza was delicious, and I thought it was very fairly priced for the quality. The service was friendly and efficient, and I liked the rustic setup in the restaurant.
It’s not somewhere I feel you would go for an ‘evening out’ as when I visited, there were not any starters or desserts offered, but it is great for a quick meal if you’re out and about or at the start of an evening out. I will definitely be back.

When we arrived, after realising the door was tucked around the side, there wasn’t much of a greeting or introduction. We were just shown to our table and then a few minutes later someone came to take a drinks order. Then a few minutes later someone else came to take our drinks order! I think we perhaps slipped through the cracks, with two servers both trying to serve our table throughout the evening, and awkwardly realising things had been done.
When food was served only a few minutes after ordering, there wasn’t much of an “enjoy!”, simply a, “who has this and who has that”. We also were never asked if that was everything, or given any cutlery (or even the option for it!) – I ended up finding some myself as everyone seemed to disappear after our food was served and we didn’t want it to go cold!
As mentioned the food was excellent, with a delicious sourdough base and balanced toppings – you can’t beat a fresh pizza!
Sadly it wasn’t until we were leaving that we actually received some enthusiasm when we were asked about our meal, told a bit about the restaurant (after asking) and given a farewell!
They have the potential, they just need to find it!
The pizzas were good, but everything else fell short.
The service left a lot to be desired. The starter we requested wasn’t available despite being on the menu “we don’t do those anymore”, and when we were asked whether we’d like to see the dessert menu, we were then told that they only serve ice cream and don’t actually have a dessert menu.
If you want to do pizzas in an informal vibe where service isn’t hugely important and an exhaustive menu doesn’t matter too much, then run a pop up or a take out. But you’re advertising as a restaurant, so with that should come great service, a fully up to date and available menu and a setting that makes you want to spend a good portion of your evening there. Sadly all of these elements were missing.
EDIT: the owner would probably also benefit from taking feedback on board rather than sarcastically using an emoji on responses or replying in a salty manner. Lots to learn it seems.
