Thought we’d try a new pizza place, which is closer and convenient for us. atmosphere was nice. People were pleasant and strangely no customers this is a Thursday evening and they had a couple hours before they closed.
received our order promptly, one crack crust pizza, two sodas, and water, we ordered a Caesar salad, which was crispy and tasty. Pizza lacked flavor that we were expecting however, it was hot and we were hungry as we were leaving. We made the comment to the owner that the crust seemed a little dark and his only comment was a smile and a shrug. –See photo.
don’t think we’ll be back.

I decided to try The Pizza Stone because of good reviews. The Staff and Owner are great! I’m a finicky pizza lover. I like a bubbly airy crust, normally with 00 flour. Most pizza joints don’t spend the money on 00 flour but you can still get airy crust with regular flour. The pizza toppings were great as was the sauce. The wings were not as I mentioned to Matt. They were slimy not crispy. Hopefully that will be addressed. For families this place is good.

My visit to The Pizza Stone was, unfortunately, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. From the moment I walked in, things felt off. The initial atmosphere was bland and slightly strange, with no clear menu displayed. The only option was a dirty brochure near the register, which wasn’t exactly appetizing.
The person working the cashier appeared unprofessional and gave the distinct impression of being under the influence, which was immediately unsettling. Hoping the food would redeem things, I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich and Mozzarella Sticks.
The food was inedible. Both items were shockingly poor quality. The mozzarella sticks were saturated in oil (at least half an ounce poured on before cooking, as I witnessed), resulting in a soggy, greasy mess that was impossible to enjoy. The texture and overwhelming taste of cheap oil, combined with the knowledge they were straight from a frozen bag, made me feel physically ill after one attempt. I have photos that clearly show the unappetizing result. The sandwich was equally horrible.
The most alarming aspect was the kitchen hygiene. The open kitchen allowed me to see the food preparation. The chef initially handled food without gloves, touching various surfaces and ingredients bare-handed. He only put gloves on after preparing the food, specifically to bring it out to me. I watched him reach directly into a frozen bag of mozzarella sticks with bare hands and handle other components similarly. This blatant disregard for basic food safety protocols is a serious health code violation and completely unacceptable.
Throughout this, a person who seemed to be the owner or manager was frequently arriving and leaving via the back, out of sight, seemingly unaware or unconcerned with the operation happening in the front.
I cannot stress enough how poor this experience was. The combination of unprofessional staff, appalling food quality, and shockingly unsanitary kitchen practices made for a deeply unpleasant and concerning visit. Based on what I saw and tasted, I cannot recommend The Pizza Stone to anyone and I will absolutely not be returning. It was a complete waste of money and left me feeling genuinely concerned about their operating standards. Avoid this establishment.

I look forward to coming back here! They serve the most authentic Italian beef sandwich I’ve had since the last time I was in Chicago, minus the provolone but that’s optional of course. They even use Gonella bread! The spicy giardinara is on-point (they offer mild heat also in case that’s not your thing) and so is the thinly sliced beef as well as the delicious au jus. I look forward to trying out several other things that caught my eye on the menu also. Prices are very reasonable for the top quality ingredients and serving size.
The owners are lovely to chat with and you can tell they put a ton of heart into their restaurant! Music is excellent also. Please check this place out and support your local businesses ♥️

Today was the first time we’ve tried the pizza stone, we ordered online for pickup. The store was very clean and tidy, and the atmosphere was very airy and pleasant, not like some places that are almost claustrophobic. The food was ready on time for pickup and was hot and fresh and tasted very good. All in all we will definitely be repeat customers.

Would absolutely come again! What a great friendly spot! Pizza was tasty, side salad was just what I was craving, and everyone behind the counter was super friendly. Looking forward to coming back with our 7 year old to play some of the board games available. Also recommending to my FIL who lives near by – i think he’ll really enjoy it too!

This is one of my favorite spots in Golden. The people and the food are fantastic! Recently, they helped me with an important and difficult delivery request. I was stuck working in Fairbanks, Alaska and could not attend an important social gathering. This place delivered a large pizza order with personalized messages on the pizza boxes for me. They are incredible, and their pizza is the best!

One of the BEST pizzas I’ve ever had! A little tough to find, but one of the owners said their waiting on their new sign. Give these kind folks a try. I doubt you’ll have any regrets. We had “The Junk” special pizza and all the ingredients were very fresh and flavorful.

The salads were great, and the pizza was great — bonus points for the St. Louis–style square-cut thin crust. Very inexpensive for the quality. And like Gandalf, delivery was neither early nor late; it arrived exactly when intended (estimated 30 minutes, arrived in almost exactly 30).

Yummy pizza pies, mugs frosty enough to transform the top layer of my creme soda to ice, friendly service by owners and staff, clean environment. My only bummer was to see the mushrooms on my pizza were canned instead of fresh. At the same time, I’m sure it’s easier to do canned, especially while a new business is learning its ingredients demand. Will definitely be back.
