Thank god we came here for our first pizza in the San Fran area!!! It was so good well worth every dollar, if your complaining about the price you need to realize this is the San Fran market price 5-7 bucks a slice of pizza. We are from New Jersey, and we know pizza east coast, and let me tell you this pizza was bomb, better then the pizza back home and NYC. turns out the owner is from NJ, I can see why its a hidden gem of a great pizza. reason why I said thank god we came here first, because the next day we were craving pizza again, and we were far away, and made the assumption all San Fran pizza must be good, so we decided to go to the very famous so called Tony pizza…… wow we were so mad, and felt so stupid seeing all the hype that pizza sucked!!!! no taste, no sauce, just a bland piece of bread. I have no idea how that place became famous, but if this owner opened next to them it would be over, like real quick. I will always tell my friends now if you want good food in San Fran look no place other then Mission district!!! All the food is Fire in this area, Thai, pizza everything!!!

They say “Believe in pizza again”. Well, I restored my trust in pizza.

I’m so glad I stopped by at this pizza spot. It was just by chance. As a person who loves nyc-style pizza, I savored every bite.

We had pesto jalapeno, white spinach, and pepperoni mushroom. The dough was flat and crispy, not starchy. I could taste the freshness of tomatoes from the sauce. Pepperoni wasn’t overly salty and true to how it should taste like. Pesto jalapeno had a tasty kick which I loved so much. Every piece was purely pleasant.

Can’t wait to throw a pizza party with friends with their whole pizzas.

Really, really good pizza; probably one of my new favorites in SF. The dough is almost New York-y, just a bit too thin, and it’s got a wonderful SF sourdough-y twist which enhances the pizza so much.

The shop is a very simple few tables in the same room as the pizza oven. But when the slices are this good, who cares what the shop looks like

Been searching for a casual place to get NY style pizza by the slice with crispy crust, and was recommended this place. It was quick to get our slice, and was indeed crispy. We got the pepper and pesto slice, it was spicier than we had expected. Will need to try their other slices next time.

Awesome pizza. Very light for pizza. Perfectly crispy, no flop. Tangy sauce.
Nice owner/employees. Spacious environment with open windows and very clean. Clean bathroom too.

Absolutely speechless. One of the only places in San Francisco that I’ve found that can make a perfectly competent NY Slice. Nice wide slices. Crispy cracker thin crust. No flop. Had the white pie and combo and both were solid pizzas.

Comfortable seating and plenty of space. Feels modern compared to some of the more run down places in the city.

Will be back anytime I’m craving a NY slice.

They take cash and card.

Hands down great pizza. In my opinion, the best pizza around 24th Street. I originally visited for 1 slice but ended up grabbing 2 different style slices. I first chose Pesto, Parmesan, and Tomato pizza. Wow. What an intense flavor from the garlic and perfect amount of Pesto. The second slice I chose was the “Meat” slice. I confess this is the perfect meat pizza. Definitely not over saturated with meat but with subtlety added. The crust is perfectly thin and crunchy. This is my new go to place when I return to 24th/Folsom Street.

The Pizza Shop sells pizza by the slice for $5 each ($4 for a plain cheese slice). However, the crust is too crunchy and dry for NY style pizza. The tomato sauce is too thinly spread on the pepperoni/mushroom slice. On the other hand, the garlic tomato white pizza had good flavors with sprinkles of pesto on top. Overall, passable for a quick, convenient slice in the Mission

Stopped in at the Pizza Shop for a quick slice while on 24th street. Not sure if it was slow time but we ended up with a dry and stale slice that was very hard and crunchy. Perhaps next time I would order a whole pizza rather than a slice.

Their pizza is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Thin crust, not too soggy, not too crunchy. The staff was beyond welcoming and the place was very clean
