Family went to dine here since we heard about the pizza being good. Which is true, the pizza is lovely as there is minimal grease, soft crust, and cheesey cheese. Yet, at the same time there was hardly any pizza sauce to give any kick. First time here, asked for a water, and found a hair. The lady who asked if I wanted a new drink seemed hesitant. Then when the pizza arrived the waitress didn’t announce about the delivery or to enjoy our meal. Interactions with staff was bland and unwelcoming. Definitely wouldn’t return here unless with a group.

Today I visited the pizza place. It had been many years since I had been there. The place was very clean and pleasant staff to take your order. The pizza was wonderful, just as I had experienced many years ago. The meats and vegetables was so fresh as well as the great crust. This is the place to go for good, old fashion pizza.

My husband went to school across from The Pizza Place. Everytime we are back in Town we have to get pizza from there He loves that it still taste the same as it did growing up. I love it because they know how to put cheese on a pizza,no need to ask for extra cheese. The sauce has a really good flavor. I gave it a 3 for atmosphere, you don’t go there for atmosphere you go there for great pizza.

This place has really gone downhill. It’s an institution on the Southside and a shame that no one seems to care. Look at the “thick slice” below I was served today. They are obviously using day old and/or frozen dough that wouldn’t even rise. This will be my last visit unfortunately…my last two or three stops have all been disappointing. I also had to pass by four tables that were too filthy to sit at. I hope ownership/management takes some pride in the brand they built around MOV, but I doubt they will…it’s been declining for quite a while.

I’m yet Another pizza place fan since high school, I’ve never had a bad pizza from either location, till today. I would call the consistency of our pizza mashed potato like. To the extent that my gag reflex started to kick in after the second bite. I called and was told the cook that made mine was already gone. I was craving pizza place last week but of course they deserve their vacation extra because as I understand it’s been the tradition after school lets out for the year for 50 years, so you can imagine my disappointment today when I got the absolute worst floppy uncooked pizza I’ve ever had in my life. I will be back to post another review after I take this to the store and ask for the good baker to bake my Sicilian to perfection as it’s always been….till today.

I like others have been eating pizza place pizza since I was in high school way back when, but the last few times I’ve gotten it it has been less than inspiring. I ordered four slices of the thick crust pepperoni to go and when I got home they were Stone Cold and chewy like they had been sitting around half the day. It’s the same complaint that others have left in the reviews. When you spend $13 for four slices of pizza you expect them to be fresh. The pepperonis are not even melted in the cheese. Congratulations pizza place pizza I think you have finally ruined me on your pizza.

I recently gave them another try and the pizza was much improved. Like i remembered, so I’m raising my stars from 2 to 4. Keep on it and you might get back to 5.

I’m updating my previously sunny review to be honest about my experiences over the last 3 years as a customer. The short version is that the staff always seem a bit harried/distraught which explains why when I request light cheese and a well-done bake I receive ALL THE CHEESE and a standard bake time. Today was no exception to my usual experiences.
The flavor of their food is fine, but I never really get what I order which is why I’m usually at Pizza Hut or Domino’s, depending on my mood.
