We tried the slider basket. Three sliders and fries. Service was quick despite the 30 customers. The place was bigger than we expected. With a stage, dance floor and seating capacity of about 160. The best burger I have ever had. – And I’ve lived all over the US.
In town for a business meeting. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We ordered and the food was brought promptly. The double burger was juicy, well seasoned, and fresh! Fresh fries to die for.
I hope I have to come back to Pittsburg soon just so I can have another!

My team was in town for work, so we stopped by for lunch. One had a burger which comes with two patties, one had boneless wings which he said were tasty and large serving, one had burger sliders with Gouda cheese and loved them, I had a blackened chicken wrap. All pretty tasty, we started with fried green beans for appetizers which were ok. Service was excellent, tater tots and onion rings were average, possibly frozen, Definitely a fun college atmosphere!

A very fun sports bar in downtown Pittsburg, Kansas. Our waitress was very attentive and answer lots of questions for us. My hamburger was very good, french fries were tasty but not very hot. There is a nice beer selection and a full bar. Lots of seeding, lots of TVs. Great place to watch a football game.

Absolutely perfect place to stop and eat or stay awhile and play pool or watch football.amazing staff super friendly !! Food was absolutely delicious my husband got ch-ch cheeseburger that was a burger with grilled cheese as the buns with onion rings which were the thing rings and cranky so so delicious. I got the queso burger which was soooo good and juicy and I got tots which were fluffy and crunchy. Absolutely recommend rather your just passing though or staying a bit or live there. Definitely will be coming back!!! Also kid friendly it is a little loud just cause of the tvs but great kids options no very pricey I’d say very reasonable pricing and good quality.

Very good food. Hopping little place. It was busy, but not chaotic or overly loud. Staff was attentive and we didn’t wait very long for our food. Hubby had a chicken sandwich and tots. Chicken was tender and juicy, had good flavor. I had chicken bacon ranch wrap and fries. Wrap was flavorful and chicken was chopped/shredded so easy to eat. Not overwhelming with lettuce, had a good 50/50 mix. Ranch served on the side. Fries were well seasoned.

Was looking for a place that had food our 4 and 6 year old grandsons could eat, so after much searching online, we decided to give this place a try.
First of all, the bar height only tables are not conducive to bringing small kids to a restaurant. The adults were nervous trying to make sure they didn’t fall off the bar height chairs.
I had the burger with the egg on it. Loved everything about this burger. Both burger and egg cooked perfectly. Wife had the Hawaiian burger, which she thought was delicious. Brother-in-law had the burger with the mac and cheese with the mac and cheese on the side; he absolutely raved about the mac and cheese.
For appetizers, we bought the pepperjack bites and the spicy green beans. The green beans were fabulous, although I would have enjoyed dipping them in a spicier ranch than regular ranch, although it was very good ranch.
We all ordered the french fries and onion rings with our dishes. All of us agreed both the rings and the fries were on the greasy side. I think the greasiness of the fries is what gave my stomach some issues later.
The bartender who took care of me paying the bill was very nice. Big, welcoming, friendly smile; pleasant attitude and communication. The service industry needs more people like this guy.
Would definitely try this place again to try something else on their vast menu. Might have to not eat for about two days so I can try the double patty hamburger with the fried chicken in the middle of the sandwich. Or their fried peanut butter and jelly. Or wings with their multitude of flavors of sauces and spices.

Maggie does a great job running The Pit. They have THE BEST boneless wings. Always have a great drink and food special. Elijah Craig was a great addition to burbon selection.
