STAMP!! Their 2 Meat 2 Side Combo ($24.99 with smoked pork ribs, beef brisket, sweet potatoes, mac n cheese, mild, spicy, & bbq sauce). Slim those ribs were perfectly seasoned, & tender!! STAMP those sweet potatoes, & all their sauces. The brisket was meaty, & the mac actually hit…both LIKE THAT!
STAMP!! Their Pit Boss Combo ($32.99 with 6 fried, 6 smoked, 6 jerk wings, mumbo, ranch, & garlic buffalo sauce, potato salad, baked beans, cornbread, & collard greens). ALL the wings hit!! Those jerk wings had some heat to them!! STAMP the savory greens!! The beans didn’t LOOK like it, but they were well seasoned…STAMP!! The potato salad, & cornbread was LIKE THAT!
STAMP!! Their Smoked Sausage Lunch Special ($12.50 with a smoked sausage, fries, ketchup, mustard, & mumbo sauce, grilled onions, & a cold can beverage). Well smoked, tasty with those onions, the fries were DELICIOUS.
STAMP!! Their Funnel Cakes ($8.48 one with a cherry topping, the other with an apple topping). Classic, sweet, & tasty!!
Their Pit Boss Cocktail ($12 a cocktail with Hennessy, Grand Mariner, Apple, cinnamon, & orange). Looks, & smells good!! I didn’t drink it, but they do serve alcohol up in here!!

I’m glad there’s finally a Good BBQ spot not far from Bowie. I frequent The Pit Spot and the food is always good and cooked to perfection. The staff is welcoming and great atmosphere to come sit and eat with the family!
Today I ordered: 2 meat plate BBQ ribs, brisket, greens, and potato salad. I also ordered the catfish.

The food is tender and delicious I spent $60 and it feeds 8 to 10 people I ordered the slab of ribs the brisket and kale and sweet potatoes the chef has definitely done his job with the food can’t wait to go back . My compliments to the Chef

The Pit Stop BBQ is exactly what the neighborhood needs.
From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is about quality and pride in what they do. The food was absolutely amazing—flavorful, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Every bite felt intentional, not rushed or thrown together. I normally get the 2 meats combo, either the jerk ribs or their smoked ribs, and wings! They never miss!!! My go to sides are their kale greens, and mac&cheese. My wife loves their baked beans and sweet potatoes! I have never ordered anything off of the menu that I didn’t enjoy to the fullest.
The service was just as impressive. Friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. You genuinely feel appreciated as a customer, which makes the experience even better. I love the fact that they allow our youth to find productivity and learn the importance of business ownership by allowing them to work there and gain experience. Please continue to teach the youth responsibility and keep them off of the streets Pit Stop!
What stands out the most is how important it is to see a local restaurant in the neighborhood providing this level of quality food and service. The Pit Stop BBQ isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a place that adds value to the community. On every corner is a chipotle, Wawa, and tropical smoothie cafe. Let us let some of the up and coming businesses have a chance at our hard earned dollars for once! The Pit Stop is a great example of business ownership getting it right!
If you’re looking for great BBQ, excellent service, and a spot worth supporting, this is it. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t stopped by yet. Not only is it black owned, it is black owned and done right! I will always be a customer of the Pit Stop Bbq.

MY FIRST TIME EVER LEAVING A BAD REVIEW!! I came in for lunch on 1/16/2026 at 1110am an order rib tips. Took 50 minutes to get my order. Now It was some of the best Rib Tips l’ve ever had and I’ve travel this country for bbq. So I would give this best there praise for that. So I decided to go today to order the 3meat platter. Today was Just HORRIBLE!
Do Not Patronize This Establishment truly sad! Placed my order online at 450pm I called and confirmed my order and was told my order would be ready at 550pm no problem. Arrived at the Establishment my Order wasn’t ready at 550pm thats an issue. I was told it would be ready in another 15 minutes. By 630pm my order still wasnt ready when I asked how much longer I was told another 15 minutes. That would make it 2 hrs. I asked for a refund and got nothing but attitude about it. Its just sad that you try to support black business and get horrible service or no service at All in my case. Only go here if you have time to waste.

I typically do not rate bad reviews; however, I write this review in hopes that the business will see this a process evaluation and an opportunity for quality improvement. I placed an order on the evening of 12/30/25 to be picked up on 12/31/25 at 4:10pm. The online ordering process was seamless. At 3:30pm on 12/31/25 I received a call notifying me that my order is being canceled and money refunded because they do not have my food. The reasoning given was because I was one of the last orders to be placed the day before. This is unacceptable and doesn’t make much sense. Before filling any walk in orders for today, the food to fill the prepaid orders should have been separated from today’s walk in inventory. All orders previously received and paid for should have been accounted for. I am extremely disappointed.
Lastly, the restaurant’s listed opening time for today was 11:30am. I do not understand why I was not notified earlier in the day so I could have made other arrangements. It is now 4pm on a holiday eve. I am unable to place an order at another restaurant. This is no way to run a business.

I walked in and was asked were I “picking up or ordering”. When I said “ordering”, I was immediately told there would be a 2 hour wait. The associate didn’t ask what I was ordering, so I could have been ordering dersert or a soda and I guess that would have been a 2 hour wait too. This is my 2nd time trying to try out this place and have been told “it would be 2 hours”.
I am starting to think that they don’t start cooking the food until you get there, so I believe the 2 hour wait is normal. There was a customer there who had ordered ahead and still had to wait. At least they answered the phone with her because no one answered when I called to try to place an order. Had they answered and told me it would be 2 hrs, I could have placed an order for later or it could have saved me a 20 min ride.
Needless to say, I didn’t wait and I’ll advise anyone to call this place first. If you don’t get an answer you’re probably wasting your time going there.

Amazing food as always! I placed an online order today and the order was ready at the selected pick up window. Absolutely no wait. The lady working the front counter was also pleasant and helpful. Love the new changes Pit Stop!! Eat here. You will not be disappointed!!

I ordered online, and the order was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes or less. When I arrived to pick it up, a young man told me it wasn’t ready. Meanwhile, customers who walked in, placed their orders at the counter, and paid after I arrived received their food while I continued waiting.

I order the smoke chicken , fried chicken and ribs for a gathering I was hosting. I must say there was nothing these pans were totally empty at the end of the night . The food was cooked to perfection !!! Tender delicious smoked flavor and the fried chicken phenomenal!! I host a lot and will definitely order again .
