Visited on a Friday for lunch and the food was amazing! The burnt end tacos were so packed with flavor. We got an order of bbq egg rolls, a couple of different sandwiches and a two-meat combo. Everything was delicious and smoked to perfection!

I’ve always enjoyed The Pit BBQ Lounge and it’s even better that it’s owned by a former classmate. Good drinks and food. The potato salad hits the spot every time, the cornbread is tasty and the meats have a great smoke.

Delicious food and friendly service. The brisket was super tender and I loved the pulled pork in the weird eggrolls that they offer as an appetizer- freaky but awesome! The spicy sausage isn’t overly spicy but has a robust flavor. The spiked lemonade was refreshing. Basically, everything we tried was fantastic and we can’t wait to go again!

Definitely a hidden gem, service was fast and friendly. Food was amazing with big portions and price was very reasonable for what we got. Definitely coming back!

Ordered food here for the first time for delivery and was so excited but ended up being a little disappointed. Our food got delivered on time which was great but as I opened my box I was shocked. I ordered the 2 Meat Combo with sides: Ribs, Spicy Sausage, Mac and Cheese, and Cornbread (which was $18.99.) The ribs were fantastic! Excellent taste and the cornbread was good but I did not get the Mac and cheese that I ordered. Instead I was given I believe potato salad and it was not very good. Then the “spicy sausage” I got in my 2 meat combo was three small pieces of sausage and two of them were not even edible because of how hard they were. Was very excited about trying this place but ended up being shocked and disappointed.

Honestly don’t know how the food is. Went in on Sunday March 8, 2026 about 6:15pm. Sign said seat yourself and we did. Waited for greeting and a menu, neither of which ever came. After about 10 to 15 min of no contact and watching a group that came in after us get service we decided to leave. Only good thing to come form it was it lead to discovering Wild Chicken Grill which had lighting fast and freindly service and great food.

Visited here Wednesday evening January 14th. Nice atmosphere, subpar food. I ordered the Spicy Cattlemen for $13. There was more bun than meat. It looked like something out of a fast food restaurant. It didn’t look very appetizing. This sandwich is supposed to come with crispy jalapenos, however I got tiny pieces of jalapenos about the size of a pinky nail. How many pieces? About six. Yep, just enough to say they did their job. It’s also supposed to come with spicy cattleman’s sauce. I saw a hint of sauce on my sandwich but I sure couldn’t taste it. Again they put enough on to say they did their part. I asked for some barbecue sauce and she brought me a tiny plastic container half filled with barbecue sauce. Nowhere near enough for an entire sandwich but enough to say they did their part. I have no reason to revisit this place.

We went for Father’s Day day and they were busy but not crowded. The waitress was very friendly and she was hopping all over the dining room. We ordered 5 adult meals and 1 kids meal. I am not one to leave negative reviews so I will state the waitress did great and she did discount our ticket and gave us some coupons to return.
The cook came out to explain his fryer was off so offered us smoked chicken in replace of the chicken nuggets. The chicken however was extremely dry, there was no flavor to the pulled pork, the brisket was to salty and the ribs were very tough. It was extremely disappointing.
I will say the baked beans were very good and so was the cornbread. The service was fast and the food was warm.
So while I wont return (out of state dweller) I would try again if it was not a holiday.

First: Pricing beware. What is on the menu is NOT what they charge you. $9.99 onion rings turned into $10.29. The tip percentages are out of sequence, so 15% 25% 20% 30%. Whether this is on purpose or not is unclear.
Flavor-wise, the meat was great. Not overly smoky, but definitely smoky. Unfortunately, flavor is not the only consideration in a barbecue and the meat was quite dry. The brisket and chicken were both dry, although the chicken was still tender so perhaps this was just bad luck on our end. The pulled pork was decent enough.
The sides were unfortunate, the mac n cheese was rather plain which is alright, but the coleslaw was bland. It is a vinegar based coleslaw however it seemed more like a bag of coleslaw mix with a salad vinaigrette dressing poured over it, one that was heavy handed on the pepper too.
The appetizers we got were fantastic; The pork spring rolls were great. Amazing flavor and fantastic presentation. The onion rings seemed house-made; Regardless, they were delicious and not greasy or too salty.
The atmosphere is cool, I appreciated the Marshall guitar amp and the guitar with it. They have games for kiddos if that’s a consideration for you.

Always enjoy getting a bite at The Pit BBQ. It can be a bit tricky to get to, because of its location off 72nd and Hwy 370, but the food is worth it. Without question, when you go, order the pit rolls. This house specialty is a fantastic BBQ take on an egg roll. Also recommend the Spicy Cattleman’s sandwich… piled big enough for 2.
