Perfect stop on the way home from the shore. Had the clam chowder and CT rolls. Delicious. Reeks of summertime. Bar opens at 3, but you can buy beer and wine at roll checkout. Loved it

The Pit is a great little spot to take the family on the weekend, listen to some live music and enjoy a great lobster roll. Loaded to the top with lobster, it was absolutely delicious. We also ordered their tuna ceviche and lobster guacamole. Both hit the spot as well. The seating area was cool because it also had a full bar for you to sit back and relax. Overall it was a great dining experience and the food was fantastic.

Amazing pit stop to grab some delicious succulent lobster. The Cali roll with a suttle piece of lobster and the butter lobster roll were soo good and sufficient meat, service is great wholesome and good people. The tuna ceviche was excellent with grilled corn and the seasoning was fresh but a good bite!

Holy lobster! Already planning our return trip. Keep it simple and do it right. Lobster bisque is the best I’ve ever had and I’ve tried a lot. Exceptionally fresh. I had the Cali. Bacon makes everything better. The Connecticut was authentic and pure. So much better than cracking open a lobster and picking at it.

The Pit has an outside eating area with bar and live music. Atmosphere on weekend we went was lively and upbeat. Service was friendly and quick. Lobster roll was generous. Lobster bisque was delicious but could have had more lobster chunks in it. Overall a great choice.

If lobster rolls are 90% of your menu, you better do it right. The Pit absolutely nails it! We both had the Cali lobster roll. Bacon, avacodo, tomatoes along with sides of homemade slaw and pickles. Absolutely amazing, lots of lobster. The thick cut bacon was perfectly cooked. I’m not a pickle fan but theirs changed my mind, slightly sweet, nice balance of acid, only problem is I want to take huge jar home and eat them all the time. $24 for a single lobster roll but you get what you pay for and The Pit absolutely delivers.

Great lobster roll! Right up there with Point Lobster ( my favorite)and Atlantic Offshore Fishery (my second favorite) as the best rolls at the Shore. Added bacon to my roll because you can at this cool, casual establishment. Washed it down with a frozen margarita which did not skimp on the alcohol. Added a side of their onion dip just for kicks. Loved everything and will definitely be back.
