The jumbo shrimp (shareable) was absolutely delicious. Each shrimp was perfectly coated in seasoning and cooked to the ideal temperature—not too hot to burn your mouth, but not too cool either. It was so tasty that I immediately wanted seconds!
The catfish was another standout—crispy on the outside, well-seasoned, and bursting with flavor.
A special shoutout to Sarah Beth, our server, who made the entire visit so memorable with her wonderful strawberry lemonade, great service and friendly personality.
If you’re thinking about trying Pirates Bowl, don’t hesitate. Highly recommend!
I went back on my word and came a third time to order my same Gold Broker with the pirate’s secret seasoning with the medium spice level. I had a craving for a boil bag…that’s why I returned, lol. Nonetheless, food was good and well-seasoned. Because of this, I officially deem this spot as a hit-or-miss. I guess it depends on who’s back there concocting the seasoning.
I came twice in a row on two separate days. My first time dining inside, food was delectable! My seafood boil bag hit the spot and satisfied my craving. Seasoning was perfection.
I met Adam, the bartender. He took such good care of me and made me a yummy Hennessy Margarita. I enjoyed my experience so much that I came back the very next day to order the exact same seafood boil bag. This time around, Adam concocted some type of coconut drink. The drink was just okay. It had a thick, syrupy consistency to it that I wasn’t a fan of.
Sadly, the taste of my boil bag wasn’t the same as the day before. The seasoning wasn’t explosive like 24 hours prior. I told Adam about this, and he said it’s probably because the cooks “switched sides.” So the cook who had prepared my boil bag yesterday was probably preparing all the fried meals that day instead of the boil bags — and vice versa with the other cook.
Consistency is what I look for when I go to various restaurants. If a restaurant can’t maintain its consistency and becomes a “hit-or-miss” type of establishment, I no longer frequent the place. So because of this, I won’t be returning. The photos and videos that you see attached to my review are from my first experience on day 1.
