While traveling through Kansas our group was headed to the same point but in opposite directions. We collaborated on where we could meet up and after several searches this was the only point that was convenient for us to meet up without going so far out of the way!
A very interesting location indeed! This is the towns bowling alley and we couldn’t tell from the outside if we were actually at our destination. Turned out it was!
Having travelled in the military I always found that the bowling alley was always a good spot for lunch on military bases. I figured this was worth a try!
The appetizers were just mediocre – we ordered the Mushrooms, Fried Pickles, Mozzarella sticks. Edible yes, but not that I’d order again.
The four in our group all order the burgers. 3 of them order an extra burger. The burgers seemed to take a while. When they came those with the double burgers were quite thick. I wish I would have taken a photo! Actually they couldn’t eat both burgers at the same time it was so thick!
I felt the burgers were overcooked but nevertheless we ate them! My recommendation is to make the burgers thinner, that way they would cook faster and if an extra patty was ordered it would actually fit between the buns.
I did manage to walk through the bowling alley and it did remind me of my youth. Truly an old fashioned bowling lane where you could see the ball travel back between the lanes.
There was quite the collection of old album covers from the 60’s and quite possibly the 50’s.
Overall it was a worthwhile stop because small town America does exist!

Oh my gosh…It’s like stepping back to 1958. Old time bowling alley and attached restaurant. Best Cheeseburger and Fries in the world. Also we got some fried livers that were great. Best food ever and great prices. Make sure and get their chocolate malt. Thick and a big straw just like it used to be. Also above the bowling alley is a theater from 1890. A true hidden Gem this place is.

This is a nice cafe for good food and a great place for fellowship with friends. Their Saturday morning breakfast is awesome. There are many choices to pick from but I suggest the Uncle Bob’s special if you like smoked sausage. An overall great place to eat with a nice lunch and appetizer menu also.

Bacon cheeseburgers done right. Doubles are a mile high. All the good fried foods. Smiling faces and great prices. Milkshakes and ice cream are a good idea.

Talk about a burger that brings back childhood memories!!! The staff was easy to talk with and friendly! You instantly became one of the neighborhood while sitting in a uniquely designed room! The bowling alley is perfectly situated to ensure that the children can enjoy the games while the parents discuss the days events! Truly a wonderful small town experience!!!

Old American style diner connected to the bowling alley. Filled with locals, cheap and tasty food, good milkshakes. Definitely worth a stop to relax and take in the scenery. Nice murals inside.

Great Mom and Pop Eating Establishment ran and operated by great people. Also a great place to bowl as well.
Menu selection is great! I am a fan of the pork fritter and fried mushrooms. You can also get breakfast all day long!
Great family atmosphere. Where else can you bowl and get food and the family can enjoy!
