Lilly was a very sweet, kind, social, and an attentive waitress. Making sure everything was okay. She took our orders and double checked to see if she had our orders right. Very very helpful and reassuring waitress.
I asked for fried mushrooms as an appetizer and half a lb of moist brisket, a side of beef rib. My partner asked for the green chile cheese burger.

The Brisket:
• The briske was not moist. It was dry. Most times you ask for moist and it will be juicy. A marbeling of fat. You have two parts of a brisket.
1.) The point cut, which is the fatty part of the brisket, which is called the deckle.
2.) The flat cut, also known as “first cut”, has the deckle removed, which makes it leaner and causes it to lay flat.
None the less, I am almost sure I got a cut from where it lacks marbling of fat (probably the center between the point and flat) which has a dry taste. Along with texture / consistency – it lacked in flavor. It for some reason lacked a smokey taste like you would taste in Rudy’s brisket yet it has a perfect smokey ring.

The Rib: No complaints as far as taste and texture. It had a smokey favor, seasoning was delicious, greasy greasy but still rich in flavor. Only issue, it didn’t have enough meat on it but I only ordered one rather than a rack. Could have been the runt of the ribs that had less meat than the others.

The Burger: no complaints at all on this delicious burger. It read on point, juicy, tasty and satisfying. My partner fell in love with it. I couldn’t agree more. 100% satisfied.

Everything else:
Fried Mushrooms: a little over fried. Too crunchy and slightly salty but not bad at all. Still delicious un taste. A little too crunchy but as said, not bad at all.
Fried Okra: I’m not a fan of it but my partner is and I was told that they were delicious. I took a taste. I have to say it read perfect. Not bad at all.
Fries: they were good. Not over fried or under fried. God amount of seasoning.
Coleslaw: not a fan of but it did look good.
Barbecue Sauce: interesting texture / flavor.
Different. It was thick but the taste was not overpowering of spices but it also didn’t lack any spices. Different.
Lemonade: very tart in taste, perfect sweetness. I couldn’t stop drinking it.
Sweet Tea: It was okay. It’s sweet tea. Not overpowered in sweetness but didn’t lack in sweetness. It was as it should be. You could airways add more sugar to your tea to your satisfaction if need be.

Over all, Lilly made up for everything from the point we came in to the food. Her attitudes and professionalism / character was on point. I won’t say that it’s not worth it and I wouldn’t go they’re again because quite honestly… I kinda liked it. The ribs, though… I didn’t get enough. Will be back soon.
Price-wise: descent. But then again I didn’t order a lot like I would have liked to but I’m total. It came out to $42 for all that we ordered not including 20% tip.
The Atmosphere: I totally dig the setting, sitting area and the bar. Not too dark and not at all well lit. Perfect for a place to go and chill and drink with friends or alone. Plenty of TVs all around.
-Bartender: Chose not to drink that day but will be back and see what the Bartender has to offer.
Excuse any typos there in
The one thing that I would change is the volume of the music. It sounded like a club. They were playing 80s dance music verrrry loud (which I love btw). The waitress couldn’t hear us when we ordered and we had a hard time hearing each other at our table. A young family came in after us and left after 5 min….maybe tge music.
The pulled pork was dry AF no seasoning bland at best looked old.
The brisket was the only thing I finished only because it didn’t look as old but still dry af and no seasoning bland which is a common theme here.
The sausage was the best, I’m pretty sure they were store bought because I’ve had them before.
Coleslaw was cabbage and vinegar that’s it.
Chilli beans bland…. By far the worst yet.
The waiter was nice except she changed me for two flat sodas that me and my wife had 1 sip from and sent back. So that was her tip…
My wife and I had some loaded brisket waffle fries to start, and they were to die for. We didn’t even get a chance to snap a pic, they looked so good. The queso they use is clearly homemade and very flavorful, which was a great first sign from the kitchen.
Followed this up with a HUGE burger that I almost couldn’t finish after that appetizer! It was cooked perfectly, had a nice coleslaw on it, and a giant pickle spear (an easy way to my heart). For a side, I ordered Mac and Queso, which was honestly just a great Mac with a bit of a kick. 10/10 would order this side again.
My wife ordered the fried shrimp tacos with the really good slaw. Great taste and great portion, but for us, it was missing a a little bit of a chipotle kick. Luckily, our server came through for us and brought out some Sriracha mayo, which was a PERFECT addition and finishing touch to these. If you order these, I’d recommend asking for the same.
Pricing was pretty average. Not gonna get gouged here, but not getting a super steal other. That’s fine with me, I’ll happily pay for the vibe and the care that the staff clearly put into this place.
Next time I come, I would love to give the wings a try. As far as first impressions go, this place made a great one.
