We stopped in here last night for our first visit since they opened. The layout is a tad bit different than the previous restaurant that was here for a very short time but overall still looked very familiar. I had the smoked chicken with okra & side salad while others at the table had the smoked bologna & the chopped brisket with corn on the cob & ranch beans. We were all pretty happy with our meals and would definitely return in the future. One thing I found a bit off was the bbq sauce? I just did not like the taste of either of the sauces that they had to offer. Maybe to much vinegar? Other than that we had good experience. Service here was also decent. You order and pay at the door so they don’t really have to serve you. You refill your drinks yourself so they only thing the servers really have to do is clear plates off the table.

Hands down the best chicken and waffles I’ve EVER had! I don’t know if it’s only available for brunch, but it’s the perfect blend of sweet, salty, spicy and crunch. Good prices too. I got beans too which were also good. Maybe next time I’ll try some BBQ but I’ll probably just get the same thing!

Watermelon lemonade was yummy. First time eat smoked bologne..yumm east coast sauce. Great dry ribs. Yummy mustard potato salad and great sants fe beans. No dog friendly…ADA wheelchair accessible. Great bathrooms and staff.

Their brisket is the definition of central Texas brisket. Wow so much clean smoke flavor. Great smoke ring. They offer cuts from the point and flat.
Also had their Friday special, BURNT ENDS!!! Best burnt ends in Oklahoma by far! I hear they do smoked Beef Ribs occasionally too! I’ll definitely keep my eyes and ears out for it!
Their ribs are something else!! Heavy smoke flavor with a hint of sweet. Chicken quarters were moist and tender as well. Don’t sleep on The Pig and the Butcher!!!

I got the two meat combo with ribs and jalapeño sausage. The ribs were delicious and seasoned excellently…I want to make sure my 4 star rating isn’t taken as hate. My only issue is that the ribs fit more of the “Oklahoma style” of rib which in my opinion just means it was a bit overcooked. Again, the meat wasn’t dry or bad tasting – it just instantly fell off of the bone. Some folx like it that way, some don’t – but I think no matter which side you sit on this one, the meat tastes amazing.

The food was hot and delicious. The service was fast and courteous. However, there were flies everywhere in the dining area. And I was concerned about how many were in the kitchen. Management needs to address the problem. I also thought the meat portions were a little lite.

The place was nice, staff were great. Food was not great for barbecue, the meat is not seasoned. The meat was cold and not warm at all. I have been to several Restaurants in okc this is one of the worst in my opinion. You would assume lunchtime would be when food would be hot and fresh. Ribs were dry and old, brisket was dry, mac and cheese was watery, mustard potatoe salad was not mixed and tasted like mustard.

Why do you go to a BBQ restaurant? Well The Pig and The Butcher has all the answers. The first is the great way that you are greeted by people that right away make you feel welcomed!.. Then there is the cleaneness of the restaurant. Now you can talk about the deliciousness of the meats and sides. As a BBQ fan im Oklahoma Ill say this place is among the 5 top BBQ restaurants in OKC. Finally there are the prices: I hope the owners don’t take is the wrong way and go up!… Is the less expensive in OK!!!. If this reasons dont make you run to get your BBQ today, then there is one more reason: this is an unpaid review!!!

My husband took me on Mother’s Day for a late lunch 05 82022
Service: We walked in and was greeted nicely by the cashier(name on receipt in pictures), she took our order, I let her know I am allergic to onions(stomach reacts badly to the enzyme in onions) and she made sure it was put down no onions as I ordered a side salad(husband eats onions and has some on his order as I eat mushrooms that he’s allergic to so we don’t force the other not to eat something). Order was brought out and they accidentally put a onion on the side of mine and took took it back and made a new plate, yes I told him he didn’t have to since it didn’t touch my food but he did anyways. The waitresses were all nice and friendly. I have a spinal disorder and use a cane daily and the staff was very helpful and awesome.
Food: I ordered the 1 meat 2 sides and choose smoked turkey with a side salad and fried okra, husband ordered chopped brisket with a side salad, Mac & cheese. The meats were cooked perfectly and my turkey had a great smokey flavor and was tender to eat, the brisket had a great taste, very moist, unfortunately the one downside was it was fatty but that was nice and tender too. Side salads were cold, crisp and very nice with dressing, the fried okra was cooked perfectly and was crispy on the outside while done on the inside, the Mac & cheese had perfect taste and very cheesy, cooked nicely.
