Our goal at the Picnic Basket is to provide convenient top quality fare at an affordable price to accommodate the lack of quality time the modern day family faces. We call ourselves a Meal Market. Think of a grocery store where you pick up your goods already washed, chopped and prepared and cooked into a delicious meal. All you have to do is heat and eat! The bonus we add is all this is done by a local chef.

Jen & Jeremy provided a top notch meal for our wedding! We opted for a breakfast menu and it was PERFECT! All of our guests raved about the selection and quality of the food. Working with Jen ahead of time was a breeze. She was incredibly helpful in offering suggestions, and I never doubted that we were in good hands for our big day! Pricing was also super reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we received. (Something really hard to come by when wedding planning!) Though we went with breakfast, the sky is the limit in planning your menu with The Picnic Basket. If you can dream it, they can do it! I cannot recommend working with them enough. For any of your catering needs, give them a call!

Owner, Jen Wilcox, came highly recommended by our venue as well as one of our agents who does consistent business with her. This was our first experience using The Picnic Basket Meal Market for a large market center event where catering was needed. Her brunch menu was curated thoughtfully, with a few options to accommodate for vegetarian and vegan palates.

The brunch provided generous portions per person, variety, and was absolutely DELICIOUS! The roasted potatoes with spinach, roasted tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms and onions brought balance to the sugar waffles with syrup and sausage gravy biscuit casserole. I’m sure her culinary secrets are kept safe, but all we could say was YUM!

Don’t hesitate to give Jen an opportunity to cater your next event. We will surely use her services again, as well as pop over to her brick and mortar business for “to go” meals.

The compliments just keep coming. Well done Picnic Basket!!!

We were gifted a meal from the picnic basket after my husband had surgery and it was wonderful! We had the lasagna. We had the garlic knots and the most wonderful brownies in the world. I encourage everyone to stop by there and pick up something for dinner or lunch.

We ordered delivery to our AirBnB for my daughter’s graduation weekend. The food was delicious and our guests raved about everything! Their menu is huge and the owners made it super easy to mix and match items to get exactly what we wanted. Delivery was prompt and everything was exactly the right temperature.

We like veggies that are not too overcooked, but these were quite undercooked without much seasoning. Okra was a bit too slimy and brussel sprouts were so chewy they were almost raw. Buffalo chicken had great sauce, but the chicken was tough and very chewy. Placed an online order for 4 pm pick up and got an email at 2 pm that food was ready. Food sat on a shelf for two hours and got a little stale. Why make the food so early? Needs some work.

Just had our first experience with this place and we absolutely loved it! I can’t speak to the in-store experience as a friend dropped it off for us. But every single dish was outstanding and tasted like my mother made it. We got poppyseed chicken, hash brown casserole, brussel sprouts, creamed potatoes, and cinnamon apples. It was a large amount of food and we each went back for seconds. We’ll definitely be going here again!

The first time I got food for there, I was appalled a lasagna dish was $15. I ate lasagna so much from that one dish it was roughly $4 per meal. And it was GOOD! To make family dinners easier, I’ll buy an entree there and cook sides at home. I also keep a lasagna or chicken parm in the freezer all the time now.

We’re very disappointed. The green beans were woody and we had to throw them out, they were inedible. The lima beans weren’t much better. The teriyaki chicken pieces were very small and not very good. We used to like this place, but the quality, proportions, and cost are not worth it. It’s better to either go out to eat for the same price or cook at home with much better quality.

This is a fantastic place. Love it for a week night meal I don’t have time to prep or for taking a meal to a friend in need. Food is great and well priced. Love that the containers are able to go into the oven making clean up easy and quick.
