Additionally there is something off about the boba we had in our tea. It tasted like unflavored gelatin and had a weird consistency.
While I took my order to go, I think their biggest attraction point is their vibe and atmosphere, especially the hangout area in the basement.
I’d recommend the “Green Lychee” (Iced green tea, with Lychee Crystal Pearls.) Or “Wild Berry Taro” (Blended Wild Berry, Hibiscus with Crystal Taro Bubbles topped with beautifully homemade whipped cream).
The drinks weren’t spectacular, just okay.
The Blue Mango boba was nice. Not super mango-y but the drink was creamy and the boba tasted good.
The London Fog was pretty good, it had tapioca boba pearls that were really good but the drink was lacking flavor.
The Strawberry Milk drink didn’t have any boba or taro in it which is kind of disappointing since it is on the boba drink menu but was still tasty. It basically tasted like a creamy strawberry smoothie.
The green tea lychee drink was pretty awful imo. It’s just a green tea drink with no foam or anything and didn’t taste at all like lychee. It was really bitter and had no flavor (really just needed a *little* sweetener) but I will say that the taro boba in this drink were good and had lychee flavor.
The Wild Berry Taro (which has hibiscus) was really interesting but I actually liked it. It tasted sort of like huckleberries with non-zangy raspberries and just a little floral flavor. It was creamy too and the boba was nice.
Overall the drinks were kinda basic, weren’t very flavorful and not very sweet (some people may like it that way) but both the tapioca and taro bobas themselves were great and were actually more flavorful than the drinks imo.
The taro boba “crystals” were really unique but liked them. They are a lot like aloe boba if you’ve ever had that. More of a slightly chewy jelly texture than tapioca boba which has a really chewy and gummy texture.
We spent about $5 ish to $7 ish per a drink which is not a bad price.
3.5 stars overall, I probably wouldn’t come back here for anything but the Berry Hibiscus Boba, and even that wasn’t as good as it could be.
