Good credit for this place is that the food came out quick and they placed it nice and clean. I ordered roasted pork belly and the sauce came with it was good, but the pickle was not good (too sour). The coffee looked tasty, but it was really sweet. I will come back again and hopefully the food tastes better next time

Third time in two years to get food here. I always order vegetarian with tofu. They have two order stands for customer to make their own order.

This time I was confused about how the protein was listed. Inadvertently ordered chicken instead of tofu. I took it back. They were confused because that is how I had ordered it. But! They very kindly changed the chicken to tofu. I am grateful for their graciousness.

The vegetables are all beautiful and tasty. Vegetarian broth is good. The tofu is fried lightly. Hot sauce in packets. I could have used a third packet! Perfect food. Actually too much for one meal.

Environment is definitely Food Court loud and crowded on Saturdays 12-3 pm

Overall my meal was pretty good. This is more of a food court style establishment vs a fullservice restaurant so that was a little different. As a lover of Pho, I understand the broth is the most important part and the broth was pretty tasty. My only recommendation is having condiments available other than little packages and putting just a little more food in the bowl. Maybe keep them on the counter where you pick up your order. Other than that I may stop in again if I’m in that area.

This is hands down our new favorite Vietnamese spot in Richmond. The pho broth is flavorful and not overly salty. The meat is a lot more tender than other places we’ve had and pairs really well with the plate of toppings they provide! Our other favorite was the banh mi. I ordered the pork belly banh mi and the bread was super light and crispy and the roast pork belly was crispy and moist.
We also tried the sugar cane and coconut with basil seed (kind of like chia seed) drinks—they were refreshing and had surprisingly perfect ice!
This spot tucked away inside Lotte is such a gem and we will definitely be visiting again!

I’m from NYC and have been eating banh mi since the early 2000’s. This spot is legit. So far I’ve had the delicious chicken and super rich juicy pork belly. Take sandwich comes with the veggies on the side and a yummy fish sauce to slather on. That’s the star imo and really elevates the sandwich. Maybe I’ll try the Pho one day.

So far, THE best Beef Banh Mi I’ve ever tasted. They weren’t shy with the amount of meat that they put and it’s marinated all the way. I enjoyed it and with the price, i’d say it was WORTH IT.

I have eaten here every week since the soft opening and thoroughly enjoyed the food each time. The Pineapple Sugarcane drink is a certified 10/10.

So far the Skewers and the Brisket Pho are my top two personal favorites here.

This so delicious!! My daughter love this. Doesn’t take long time to get our food in the food court. This is so comforting to eat. Noodles is cook right.. the beef melt in your mouth when you eat. It’s perfect.. i love this pho!

I ordered the vermicelli bowl, only to find it came with a side of plastic wrapper. When I brought it to the attention of the staff, the first person just stared at me, and the second person dismissed as a piece of my chopstick wrapper (implying I put it in there). It of course was not my chopstick wrapper, and they just shrugged it off. Needless to say I will not be returning. Be careful out there folks, some people do not care about anything but money.

Pho Tai was good but in comparison to Pho 60 Cafe, Tay Do, or Thien Phat, nothing really stood out with this pho for me.

I liked the grilled pork spring rolls.

The overall experience is impaired by the food court style setup which isn’t a fault of the business but does impact my decision to choose eating pho here versus somewhere else. I dined in but you receive takeout dinnerware similar to the other spots here. This includes minor aspects such as eating hot liquid out of a thin plastic takeout bowl with takeout utensils. The price is slightly lower but I think overall the content, particularly the meat is significantly less than what I receive from Pho 60 (my usual spot these days) in their 13.95 Pho Large. Also the lack of the condiments such as chili sauce or a big bottle of Sriracha is also affected by the takeout setup.

I think overall it is okay but if small details of comparison make enough of a difference for you to choose other spots, you may not decide to come back.

I’d suggest switching to reusable dinnerware and utensils and having bottles of condiments available, at the very least Sriracha bottles.

I would also think at least couple more thin slices of the beef in the Pho Tai would help. Raise prices by a dollar for a large bowl and offer a small bowl if needed so people can opt for more food and meat and others can get less.
